Khalid Kareem to Bama

Disappointing, but best of luck to Khalid at Bama.

At least there's some good news possibly on the way later today.

Also: As a few posters in the comments below have said, Allen Trieu said Khalid was one of the "silent commits" that we've been hearing about over the past few weeks. Only 7 months til signing day!

This position group (DE) is amazing in how UM has so much trouble landing the big ones.  MSU just landed 2 top 100 guys at DE - following up premier Big 10 player Calhoun who returns for his senior year rather than leave early.  Bosas roam free at OSU.  We get "Hand"ed and "Kareem"ed in back to back years and are celebrating our 2 star satellite camp finds.  Sigh.  DE just seems cursed here and has been so difficult to find a stud for us for many years.

Maybe James Hall has a kid about ready to be a HS SO or something somewhere out there.

This is all part of Harbaugh's master plan. Khalid will take up a spot on Bama's roster until signing day, then BAM, he's going to switch to Michigan and leave Bama with one less 4 star player thereby screwing up their entire class.

edit: do I really need a disclaimer that I'm joking?

I don't understand how you can be that "committed" to a program with seven months to go until signing day when you change your mind the day before you "commit."

Good luck to him and everything, but he made the announcement about the announcement prior to him "deciding" to go to Alabama if his father is correct based off that quote. Just makes no sense to me. These are the kind of things that might happen when you are forced to make a decision because it's time sensitive, not something you do seven months prior to your deadline.

Color me skeptical, but again, good luck to him whatever he does.

But this just reeks of bagmen. I'm not one to jump to that immediately but seriously, the late push by Bama snags a local kid who seemed like he was going Blue for so long.
