Yuri Wright to Colorado
Please tell me we were still recruiting him!
Buffstampede.com has all the Yuri Wright news coming your way. Huge get for #Colorado.
I would be forever grateful if he had a committable offer from Michigan and got to watch a live stream of Brian eating a lemon lol. EDIT: Yes, I know we stopped pursuing him and bet is void, a man can dream can't he?
EDIT II: How does one get a scholarship when they have been expelled from school for their senior year? How does he graduate and become elegible?

a great place to burn
January 24th, 2012 at 1:57 PM ^
Boulder has nothing on Ann Arbor with regards to weed.
January 25th, 2012 at 8:22 AM ^
I know some people who would argue that weed doesn't kill anything. It's totally harmless, man.

It seems Ken Griffey Jr's son is off to play with RR at Arizona.
January 24th, 2012 at 12:02 PM ^
I think you should start a new thread about this. People like to hear frequent updates about how our former coach is doing.
January 24th, 2012 at 12:04 PM ^
is he any good?
January 24th, 2012 at 1:58 PM ^
Cool story bro
January 24th, 2012 at 11:55 AM ^
Is Mr. Wright aware that Colorado indefinitely suspended its "women for players and recruits" program a few years ago? Maybe they're restarting it.
January 24th, 2012 at 11:59 AM ^
It still sickens me that the blog posted his protected tweets. He shouldn't have posted them, but I just wonder if he would have had more opportunities with the better types of schools.
January 24th, 2012 at 12:40 PM ^
That's one of the best oxymorons I've come across lately.
From the Twitter corporate website:
"Accounts with protected Tweets require manual approval of each and every person who may view that account's Tweets. Only approved followers can view Tweets made on these accounts."
There is nothing that I see here to absolutely prevent an approved follower from passing on the information in the tweet to non-approved outsiders.
It's just as stupid as assuming that all of your emails are forever and always never going to be passed on by the recipients, even when you're emailing pictures of your dick.
January 24th, 2012 at 1:07 PM ^
You missed the point. He should have known that he would be vulnerable, but also I did not think it was the place of the blog to post it.
January 24th, 2012 at 1:12 PM ^
Wait. What. You can EMAIL pictures of your dick?
January 24th, 2012 at 12:57 PM ^
Do you perhaps think that just maybe the expulsion had something to do with schools choosing to stay away from him.
January 24th, 2012 at 12:04 PM ^
He and his father will have to satisfy their unmitigated Jewish lady bloodlust via snowball fights now; Colorado is utterly lacking in puddles with which to splash them.

Eat. A. Lemon!
Eat. A. Lemon!
Eat. A. Lemon!
January 24th, 2012 at 12:07 PM ^
I thought he... uhhhh... didn't enjoy his visit... per twitter, of course.
January 24th, 2012 at 12:11 PM ^
Colorado seems like the perfect place for Yuri Wright to get all the pussy he wants...
oh wait, Gary Barnett is gone.
January 24th, 2012 at 12:24 PM ^
They've been making some noise lately...Crawley and now Wright. Are the Buffs on the rise?
January 24th, 2012 at 12:55 PM ^
Crawley and Wright are their only 4 stars, and Crawley isn't consensus. The rest are middle three stars.
January 24th, 2012 at 2:02 PM ^
January 24th, 2012 at 5:32 PM ^
To answer your question: No.
January 24th, 2012 at 12:31 PM ^
I wasn't aware Gary Barnett was still at Colorado.
January 24th, 2012 at 12:39 PM ^
Yeah. Probably going to the biggest party school in that part of the country will really serve him well. Very grounding.

teens who will lose out on opportunities because of their tweets or facebook posts. I am a high school teacher, and I had a student tell me he was tweeting and that I should check it out. After checking TomVH, I went on and saw what this kid's tweets. Pretty tame over all. But then I saw many other students were following this kid, and so I clicked on their accounts. One kid used his twitter to deal weed, another spewed white supremist crap, and many others said things that would have made Mr. Wright blush. Plus, there were kids calling teachers fags and cunts. None of these kids are D-1 athletes, and I had to report the weed kid and white supremicist.
Kids (my old guy comment) may know how to use technology but they also have no filter, and many of them are just trying to get a laugh - and be as outrageous as possible to attain one.
YW's tweets were appalling, but I doubt he's the pussy-obsessed, white-woman coveting teen he unfortunately portrayed himself as to the entire world.
I hope he figures it out...
January 24th, 2012 at 12:57 PM ^
You didn't have to report them. Your stict identification with the establishment compelled you to do so.
January 24th, 2012 at 1:23 PM ^
As a teacher also, I would have reported the students as well. If I have suspicion of illegal activity then I need to report it to the proper authorities.
January 24th, 2012 at 1:58 PM ^
Ditto
January 25th, 2012 at 12:48 AM ^
So u have to report weed dealers? Wait weed is dealt in schools? Well thank you jesus those teachers who would never ever partake in such nonsense in their premature years are on the case!
January 24th, 2012 at 2:05 PM ^
...it's not identification with the authorities that would make us old fucks turn in white-supremecist, misogonystic, profanity-spewing, disrespectful, obnoxious, drug-dealing or otherwise blight-on-society punk kids using social media to broadcast their pathetic rantings...
we would do it because we CAN! Whooo... scoreboard, baby!
January 24th, 2012 at 1:01 PM ^
I think Brian should eat a raw lemon anyway. Not because of the bet, but just to ward off scurvy. We can't have fearless leader get MGoJaundiced!
January 24th, 2012 at 1:02 PM ^
at this. If I had the ability to rate this it would be "underrated" - good stuff. It appears Mgoblog has a high propensity of landlubbers and not nearly enough seasoned seadogs!
January 24th, 2012 at 12:53 PM ^
like this could be another Jimmy Smith.
January 24th, 2012 at 12:53 PM ^
Well I'm official weird. Sometimes I just randomly eat a lemon as a snack. Actually now I'm kind of hungry.
January 24th, 2012 at 1:45 PM ^
use pronamel or some other enamel-building toothpaste if you're going to eat lemons. (learned that from googling earlier--apparently some people eat enough lemons to really fuck up their enamel.)

There's the first guy the Rivals experts struck out on. Makes me feel better about Garnett, not so much Diamond.
January 24th, 2012 at 1:30 PM ^
Ima be joinin the Mile High club ere night!
January 24th, 2012 at 1:49 PM ^
as a TT would be epic!
January 24th, 2012 at 1:39 PM ^
"Imma marry me a bad ass white women some day..."
January 24th, 2012 at 6:30 PM ^
Plenty of Buffalo organisms in his future.
January 24th, 2012 at 2:11 PM ^
best of luck to him. Boulder is a party town. I know many people that went there. hopefully the coaches can maximize his potential on and off the field.
January 24th, 2012 at 2:15 PM ^
Herzog ate his shoe when he lost his bet to Morris. Brian should be a man of honor as well. Bets with caveats suck!
January 24th, 2012 at 2:15 PM ^
It seems like Colorado is taking chances on prospects this year. It is rumored that Desean Rippy is favoring Colorado, but he might not even have the grades to qualify.
January 24th, 2012 at 2:16 PM ^
I understand kids make mistakes... but Michigan isn't for every kid. So I'm not heartbroken.
January 24th, 2012 at 4:51 PM ^
Don Bosco is a private school. There is nothing to stop him from transferring to and graduating from his local high school.
In fact I doubt the public school would have been able to expel him for his twitter offenses.
January 24th, 2012 at 5:31 PM ^
There are a lot of people who are bitter on these boards after a recruit de-commits or commits somewhere else and post useless nonsense like "we didn't want him anyway," but I think this is a clear cut case of "we didn't want him anyway."
I think Hoke and Co. are absolutely doing the right thing in terms of recruiting kids with high character, or at least kids smart enough not to tweet some obviously self-harming things. I am very happy that we stopped recruiting him and he did not come to Michigan.
January 25th, 2012 at 7:25 AM ^
If Matt Stone and Trey Parker paid attention to recruiting, they would probably make fun of him on South Park. lol
