EDIT- So you decided to take the time to up vote your own thread but not expand on what the link contains? Sweet!
December 16th, 2011 at 2:30 PM ^
The SEC beats down an overrated Notre Dame golden boy? Is it the 2007 Sugar Bowl again?
December 16th, 2011 at 4:38 PM ^
that in this case, the SEC is actually accusing someone ELSE of oversigning.
December 16th, 2011 at 2:31 PM ^
now Michael Douglas can play Rudy in the sequel ....
Go Blue!
December 16th, 2011 at 2:31 PM ^
I've always kind of enjoyed mixing the two organizations up on purpose. It makes reading the news (especially the WSJ) more amusing.
December 16th, 2011 at 2:32 PM ^
was offsides!
December 16th, 2011 at 2:57 PM ^
Rudy was offsides fraudulently inflating stock prices.
December 16th, 2011 at 4:16 PM ^
It's actually "offside," not "offsides."
December 17th, 2011 at 3:54 AM ^
wellllll lookeee here we got ourselves a rhodes scholar
December 16th, 2011 at 2:36 PM ^
I don't know what to make of this.
December 16th, 2011 at 4:43 PM ^
Well if you had the paper you could make a pterodactyl or a broach.....
December 16th, 2011 at 5:52 PM ^
+1 for Airplane reference.
December 16th, 2011 at 2:51 PM ^
Next stop for Rudy....VH1's Where are they now?...Celebrity Rehab?
December 16th, 2011 at 2:54 PM ^
Maybe now the Domers will have to shut the hell up about Rudy.
December 16th, 2011 at 3:13 PM ^
during the time Rudy was there and informed me the majority of his story was bunk. He said Hollywood geatly exagerated his impact/influence on the team and fans.
December 16th, 2011 at 3:50 PM ^
I didn't think you had to have family or friends to know this. I think everyone knew that.
December 16th, 2011 at 4:22 PM ^
as opposed to one of us wouldn't you say? Or maybe it is just me...
December 16th, 2011 at 3:51 PM ^
Also, Rudy apparently spent about 15 years trying to market his story to Hollywood before someone finally bought it.
December 16th, 2011 at 9:13 PM ^
Hollywood exaggerated?? NO WAI!!!!
December 16th, 2011 at 10:55 PM ^
Are you suggesting Hollywood didnt/doesnt tell the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth?
December 16th, 2011 at 3:00 PM ^
Too good to be true! I never have to listen to a Domer talk about Rudy again. Plus, Donnie Warner is a better story.
December 16th, 2011 at 3:05 PM ^
IF NOTRE DAME HAD STAYED WITHIN ITS MAN-BUILDING TRADITIONS OF GRIT AND FULLBACK DIVES EVERY PLAY. THROWING THE BALL IS AN INSIDIOUS TEMPTATION TO CUT CORNERS, AND WITH THAT HORRENDOUS EXAMPLE BEING SHOWN IN SOUTH BEND, EVEN THE GREAT RUDY WAS LED ASTRAY. WE MUST ALL DO OUR PENANCE. PASSING THE BALL ONLY LEADS TO TURNOVERS AND MORTAL SIN. WHEN WE RETURN TO OUR TRADITIONAL VALUES AND RUN TOWARD THE DEFENSE INSTEAD OF PASSING AWAY FROM IT, WE WILL FINALLY RETURN TO GLORY AND RUDY SHALL ONLY GET COMMUNITY SERVICE!!!

Why did I enjoy sending that to my domer buddy so much? I'm supposed to be better than that.
December 16th, 2011 at 3:12 PM ^
They have underacheived, they have to put up with Freakbass, and now their pride and joy, who represents everything "good" about ND, is accused of scamming investors out of $11 million. All of this is in addition to the real-life tragedy that played out last year.
I would imagine they will suffer a lot of negative recruiting by all rival coaches not named Brady Hoke.
December 16th, 2011 at 4:11 PM ^
Damn I almost feel bad for them...
December 16th, 2011 at 5:13 PM ^
Not me. Nope.
December 16th, 2011 at 5:55 PM ^
To hell with Notre Dame
December 16th, 2011 at 3:14 PM ^
Astin is saying FML.
He may as well plead guilty since Notre Dame has not beaten an SEC team in years!

December 16th, 2011 at 3:22 PM ^
that sometimes people get what they deserve. Anyone dumb enough to buy stock in a "Rudy" sports drink should be robbed of every dollar they have. Seriously, think about it, "Rudy" drink? Really? How could that not be the next big thing?
December 16th, 2011 at 3:24 PM ^
Also long as it's not Rudy Tom-J I'm ok with it...
December 16th, 2011 at 3:26 PM ^
what LSUFreek comes up with for this.
December 16th, 2011 at 3:33 PM ^
Why is the slogan of this drink not "Dream Big! Never Quit! Jump Offsides!"
December 16th, 2011 at 3:44 PM ^

December 16th, 2011 at 3:47 PM ^
For the double dose of sarcasm, my first post wasn't showing up.
December 16th, 2011 at 3:59 PM ^
Generally speaking, in SEC securities fraud cases the SEC does not have to prove that anybody "relied on" your fraudulent conduct. In other words, they don't have to prove that your fraudulent scheme "worked."
December 16th, 2011 at 3:48 PM ^
Biggest prick ever.
December 16th, 2011 at 4:05 PM ^
Well... that's just some tremendous investigative work by the SEC.
December 16th, 2011 at 4:10 PM ^
has released a statement:
December 16th, 2011 at 4:27 PM ^
...is that veteran character actor Chelcie Ross will be his lawyer. Is this correct?
December 16th, 2011 at 4:23 PM ^
I'm wondering if he'll be the first Notre Dame player carried off to jail since 1975....
December 17th, 2011 at 7:49 PM ^
