Different music for the intro
August 18th, 2011 at 8:41 AM ^
change is refreshing, i guess, but i'm not a fan. this one sounds whiny. ew.
August 18th, 2011 at 9:13 AM ^
Soul Train...
August 18th, 2011 at 10:04 AM ^
Yeah, that music sucks. It made me feel like bad news was coming.

I was in a calculus 2 homework group with Mark, he's a great guy.
Here's to hoping he destroys on the right side this year!
August 18th, 2011 at 8:31 AM ^
Holy cow, he's majoring in naval architecture and marine engineering?! AND starting tackle?
August 18th, 2011 at 10:36 AM ^
I had Mechanical Engineering 240 with him a couple summers ago. Quiet kid in the classroom and I never mustered the nerve to talk to him, but he seems like a smart guy.
August 18th, 2011 at 12:10 PM ^
Granted, it was only for a single session, but he knew the material well enough that he didn't really need my help. It's nice to see former students make great things of themselves.
August 18th, 2011 at 4:26 PM ^
I tutored him for Calc III and DiffEQ. Not that he's dumb or anything, but yeah...he needed some help with those classes.
August 18th, 2011 at 7:24 PM ^
Needing help in DiffEQ does not make you dumb. Hell, failing DiffEQ doesn't make you dumb.
August 18th, 2011 at 12:35 PM ^
and I didn't realize it until the day of the final exam when he was talking about the upcoming bowl trip. Here's hoping he makes it 2 straight!
August 18th, 2011 at 9:32 PM ^
Partial diff eq sucks so bad. One of the hardest classes I have taken here so far at Michigan. But Mark seems like the man, he is playing right tackle I am assuming. Do you know if our starting o-line is Lewan, Omameh, Molk, Barnum, Huyge? What happened to Rocko Khoury?
August 18th, 2011 at 8:12 AM ^
I love the power play, and I hope we see it a ton this year. Sprinkle in some play action and such, and we might not even need to run Denard very much the first few games. I really think we could get a good power game going and dominate people at the LOS. We've got an experienced O-Line that made things happen last year.
August 18th, 2011 at 8:13 AM ^
Big expectations for the offensive line this year. I think they should be the best group in the Big 10.
August 18th, 2011 at 8:17 AM ^
I never know how to feel about the DL stuffing those power runs. I want to be excited that our DL looks impressive, but then I want to be sad because our running game is failing.
August 18th, 2011 at 8:50 AM ^
Just be happy that if the DL is stepping up, it will only make the OL better in the end. And vice versa. It's a fruitless effort at this point to judge. We'll have an answer to how good each unit actually is in the near future.
August 18th, 2011 at 8:52 AM ^
in nomal times, the defense should always be stronger at this point in camp. DL things to do: tackle guy with ball, look out for screen OL things to do: read defense, learn lanes, find guy to block, complete said block, running back finds the hole you've created. Much higher learning curve on the OL. We'll be fine.
August 18th, 2011 at 9:05 AM ^
Without going back to look, I believe a couple of those power runs getting stuffed were starters and rotation players going against practice team-level players. So that might be part of it.
August 18th, 2011 at 9:06 AM ^
Based on last year, I'd rather see the defense stuffing the run.
August 18th, 2011 at 8:42 AM ^
I would guess we'll allow more sacks than we did last season, but I think this will be Michigan's best offensive line in the last five or six years.
August 18th, 2011 at 9:07 AM ^
I disagree, it's a very good game, but I think Donkey Kong is the best game ever.
August 18th, 2011 at 9:11 AM ^
Mortal Kombat for Sega Genesis is the best game ever.
August 18th, 2011 at 9:13 AM ^
That's when you say "DONKEY KONG SUCKS!".
August 18th, 2011 at 12:49 PM ^
My B.
August 18th, 2011 at 8:52 AM ^
Good to see Hawthorne (and one other I couldn't tell who) step up and make a nice hit on Hopkins.
August 18th, 2011 at 8:55 AM ^
So ends my own internal debate as to how this guy's name is properly pronounced. Whenever Brian has said Huyge's name on the radio, he's always said "HI-gee." That always struck me as something that couldn't possibly be right.
August 18th, 2011 at 1:58 PM ^
August 19th, 2011 at 2:06 AM ^
Great explination. I never thought twice about how to pronounce Huyge's name, but, my last name is Dutch.
August 18th, 2011 at 8:55 AM ^
"Yeah, it got a little fiesty there in the one-on-ones". Yeah, baby!
GO BLUE!
August 18th, 2011 at 9:09 AM ^
Gets my morning off to a good start!
August 18th, 2011 at 9:38 AM ^
I like how the guys are battling up front...even got into a little shuffle...the funny thing about that is the Lions had a scuffle in practice yesterday as well ....so I guess are guys are like NFL lineman
August 18th, 2011 at 10:21 AM ^
I know this has been brought up on other count down to kickoffs but it really seemed like Mark Huyge was taller on the video today. Is our offensive line that big or is DK really not 17 feet tall?
August 18th, 2011 at 10:37 AM ^
DK is 6'2-3
And Huyge is listed at 6'6 on the official roster
August 18th, 2011 at 10:24 AM ^
I hate to say this but his mannerisms/laugh reminds me of Seth Rogan... anyone?
August 18th, 2011 at 7:20 PM ^
a little bit like a giant version of seth rogan. seems like a good dude though!
August 18th, 2011 at 10:39 AM ^
Karsch and Huyge confirm that all weight gain/loss is good. I like. Also, I was surprised to hear that Molk is a jokester. I always imagined he would eat your face if you weren't fucking hitting people at all times.
August 18th, 2011 at 11:05 AM ^
Hopefully Huyge's comment about most of the plays are very similar to last year will calm the people who are worried about what Borges is doing.
August 18th, 2011 at 11:23 AM ^
...going to happen.
August 18th, 2011 at 11:49 AM ^
Can do it, AND are willing to do it to show us the video easy-peasy, deserves a +1.
August 18th, 2011 at 12:31 PM ^
Yeah man you should start a thread and teach us mere mortals on how to embed so well.
August 18th, 2011 at 3:30 PM ^
Omameh is a fast dude when he pulls.
August 18th, 2011 at 4:48 PM ^
but that's what she said.
August 18th, 2011 at 5:19 PM ^
Doug Karsch must be a midget; Huyge dwarfed him.
August 18th, 2011 at 7:28 PM ^
I don't have enough points to start a new thread but figured people would want this bit of info. The university released today that their lots will open at noon, along with Pioneer and the Ann Arbor Golf and Outing. I had emailed the people that run the Pioneer lot and they had stated it would still open at 6 am. Sounds like the University pulled some weight and got them to push their opening time back. I have since resent an email to confirm this new time. I will post what they reply back.
