I get the close lines but I really don't think it will be that close, despite Wiscy's very good defense.  The only way it appears to beat our defense for a big gain is speed.  Watching Wisconsin's offense I don't see any speed guys.  If you can't get behind our corners it will be a very long day and I don't see Wiscy's receivers doing it, especially not with Jourdan back.

Speight can handle some hits/pressure and not crumble, we win this game easily. I don't think we're going to run on Wiscy like we did on PSU, seeing as how Penn St fielded the worst front 7 i've ever seen. Gap integrity was non existent and they couldn't set an edge to save their lives. I look for something like 31-24 Michigan.

Special teams will be key in our favor as well esp on punt returns.  Either Wiscy is going to concede field position by kicking it out of bounds or high for a fair catch to limit Jabril.  If they go at it normal they'll probably pay for it especially since WI starters aren't burners and definitely wouldn't have many on punt returns.

I don't think people are sold on Wisconsin's offense though.  They got a lot of help with 4 turnovers and a botched punt.

With that being said, I'd be surprised if we don't cover, even if it is a 9-point spread.

Wisconsin's new QB is pretty good but has very limited arm strength. I'm not sure the guy is capable of throwing a pass longer than about 35-40 yards down the middle of the field. I suspect that's why Wisconsin started Houston to begin the year. Hornibrook makes good decisions and is very accurate on the throws within his range, but with him in there it really cuts down on the amount of the field you need to defend. So, I don't see Wisconsin doing much against M's defense. Wisconsin's D is pretty stout against the run though, so I'd predict about a 20-10 score in favor of Michigan.

Not saying what Wiscy did wasn't impressive, but I think 30-6 was an incredibly misleading score.  Fumble-six, bad punt, turning it over on downs...game could have been a hell of a lot closer.

LSU is also looking way worse than their lofty #5 ranking, with almost losing to Miss. St. at home and now losing to Auburn on the road.

This will obviously be our toughest test yet, and I am nervous about any game.  I think we pull this out by 2 scores, though.

and Wisconsin has a really good defense. State turned the ball over 5 times, two of which ended directly into UW touchdowns. The other turnovers killed Sparty drives. MSU's OL / RBs muffed or couldn't pick up the blitz packages. MSU gave up only 300 yards of true offense, about the same they gained. So from the line of scrimmage this game was more or less even up from a stats standpoint. UW only had 120 yards rushing at 3 yds per carry, hardly dominating. Sparty mustered just 75 net on the ground - 115 gross but losing 40 yards on sacks. Wisconsin will be an excellent test and glad we have this one at home. Hope guys are healthy and we get in a strong practice week. PSU isn't strong but I thought we looked way better prepared this week with a great game plan. I think the "pre-season" experiments are over now that we are in the B1G hunt.

I also don't see any team out "manballing" us.  Wiscy is the definition of a tough, run first team and I don't see it happening against our defense.  The only team on our schedule that's as tough I would say is OSU.  I see Brown playing a bunch of man coverage against Wiscy's receivers and stacking the box to shut down the run / get pressure.

Their qb does not impress me. If we bottle up their run game I do not think they score much.

Their D is good but we will have the best passing attack they have went against so far. If the O line keeps Speight somewhat clean, the advantage goes to us.

Seems about right. Wisconsin seems like they're solid everywhere but don't really have any standouts. I feel like we'll slowly grind them down by winning the 1v1 battles more often than not, but they're going to put up a tough fight the whole way, particularly on defense. I'm thinking something like a 20-13 kind of game.

I was thinking the same thing yesterday. Why would anyone kick to him, especially how he's returned the past few games? This will likely reduce his chances for special teams, but I think we'll see him even more on offense soon. It seems like when he lines up on O, the DCs lose their shit.
