Let's just keep him out of the corners from deep for now!

Yes, always a bad thing when Lovers sit the bench! Definitely rather be in the grind for sure.

01/10/2019 - 9:41am Good thing about this team…

Good thing about this team is they’re not all going to hit a wall at once. One or two may but they have enough options to where the others can pick it up. Very unlikely the entire roatation or even the majority hits a wall at the same time. And by wall worst case you mean a bad shooting night. Michigan has always steadily improved as the season progresses the past several years, somewhat opposite of hitting a wall so even if they do hit a wall that wall may still be beyond their opponent’s ceiling. You see Johns improving tremendously so Teske can hit a wall one night, they still have guys that can step up. Lovers sits out, Johns comes in to the 5 when they’d normally go small with Livers and Johns plays very well. Now you’re seeing the depth develop which will reduce any walls this team may hit. They’d be gypsum walls and not brick walls. Easily advanced beyond with a bit of effort. Back progressing and moving forward in no time.

Mattison and Washington missed their #1 prospect (Harrison).

Or did they??

12/13/2018 - 6:35am Dax to Saban: Yo, Sabes, so…

Dax to Saban: Yo, Sabes, so you’re saying Harbaugh is a valued commodity by the highest level of football? Where’s your NFL noise? You weren’t really the shit there, were ya? You didn’t work out too well at a level where your competitive advantage is already built in. Can’t do too much as a coach when teams are on a level playing field. That tells me all I need to know. I just wanted to come a lil closer a bit, make sure I understand exactly what it is you’re spewing. Now that I’ve got all my facts in line it’s pretty clear which direction I should take my commitment. I just wanted to tell you myself. Peace out you slimy two faced geriatric. Oh, and we comin for ya and it’ll be anything but peaceful on your way out.

Say it, Dax!! Say it! 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤣

12/12/2018 - 8:48am PSU QB (who?) going to shred…

PSU QB (who?) going to shred us next year?  Their RB?  Not sure he's at Barkley level yet and Barkley had help at QB.  I know it's at PSU (probably at night) but not going to be nearly the same team as the one we played in 2017.

Wisconsin going to have the same line next year that they did this year?  This one was touted as being All-American but didn't play like an elite line.  Hornibrook not going to beat you, RB is good but without that line and a QB that can take the top off (plus WRs getting separation) they'll be forced to play in a box.  A box Michigan is faster and more talented in.

My hope is with the talent and the number of years in the system that Michigan has gotten over the hump of beating teams at their level and we rise up to take the next piece left.  Prior to this season people were wondering if we could get by PSU and MSU and finish higher than 3rd/4th in the division.  We did.  Next level is OSU and that's where our focus should be.  If we prepare and play as if it were to beat OSU each week, every other team should take care of itself.

12/11/2018 - 4:12pm I am aware of that.  I was…

I am aware of that.  I was saying there may be schools within that combined CFB average that are way above average and schools that are way below average.  The way above average schools may have a better percentage than Alabama.  Taking the 2017 NFL Draft class vs the 2013 recruiting class:

2017 NFL Draft

Five-star: 23
Four-star: 76
Three-star: 90
Two-star: 25
NR: 38

2013 Class - 247Sports Composite

Five-star: 35 (65.7%)
Four-star: 330 (23%)
Three-star: 1,790 (5%)
Two-star: 1,720 (1.4%)

65.7% of the 5 stars in the 2013 recruiting class were drafted in the 2017 draft.  I'm sure there were more drafted in the 2016 class as underclassmen and perhaps more in 2018 as 5th year guys.  I'm not sure how exactly these numbers were calculated so these numbers could be a bit misleading.

When you get a ton more 5 stars than any other school, and the percentages of those players making it to the NFL are higher, it's no surprise your numbers may be propped up by the sheer volume of 5 stars they have.

I guess I'm interested to see what Clemson's or FSU's or Michigan's percentage is against the rest of the CFB average (throwing Alabama back into that).

12/11/2018 - 2:24pm This seems a bit misleading…

This seems a bit misleading.  I'm sure there's been schools with 2...and if 1 gets drafted they have a higher percentage than Alabama.  I'm sure if you show this for a lot of other schools it'll be better than the CFB average, too.  Where's the smart mathy types at?

12/11/2018 - 2:20pm My only hope is that he…

My only hope is that he committed to Alabama because all their top recruits are in cahoots and going to sign somewhere other than Alabama on signing day.  A clear sign that if the NCAA won't take down Alabama, then those that can hurt Alabama do so in fact hurt Alabama and take them down themselves leaving them with 6 3* recruits that were going to get cut by next year anyway.

With Liberty: Injustice for All.

12/03/2018 - 5:37pm I'd create criteria for the…

I'd create criteria for the G5 Champ.  They have to be ranked say Top 10? to get in.  Most years there aren't any undefeated G5 teams.  I wouldn't throw one in most years just because.

12/02/2018 - 12:21pm Good opportunity to improve…

Good opportunity to improve the staff further. Offense isn’t that far off but need to utilize playmakers more and a willingness to exploit defensive deficiencies rather than sticking to a mono identity. Defense needs to be the same. If something else works run it, don’t do what we do just because that’s what we do. Do what we do best but have counters ready. The team took a step forward this year. Gotten by 95% of the conference. Last year everyone was wondering if we can get past #3 in the division. We have. The focus narrow and take dead aim at osu. Build a team to beat them you’re going to beat all the other teams as well. Bringing on better coaches to do this will keep them moving forward and the gap closes more and more.

11/06/2018 - 8:41am Bless his heart.  It's more…

Bless his heart.  It's more likely Michigan scores 27 with Nordin kicking nine 50+ yard field goals all day.

11/05/2018 - 2:17pm State always plays osu tough…

State always plays osu tough. They’ll play cover against the pass and not let the big play happen. They contained Purdue. Probably deploy a similar strategy against osu. State will be able to stop the run without selling out to keep safeties back and in coverage.  They’ll grind the game down and keep it close. MSU should run the ball, keep possession, and limit offensive opportunities for osu.

So you’re in Alabama with one sister and have two sisters that live in the UP. Got it.

10/14/2018 - 10:17am And Dwumfor. He would have…

And Dwumfor. He would have been nice to have with UW attacking the middle. Mone seemed to do well and was nice seeing Solomon out there. We get the DL healthy (and everyone behind them healthy) this defense will be tough to beat, especially with a capable offense.

10/14/2018 - 10:13am This has been the biggest…

This has been the biggest difference. An offense that can move the ball, get a few first downs, put some points on the board, save our defense and give them a lead to where they can be aggressive and get after people all game long. Having a punter that flips the field is a major bonus as well. This team compliments each other in all phases of the game allowing each to shine.

10/14/2018 - 9:49am I agree. Evans can hit that…

I agree. Evans can hit that homerun straight up the gut. Defense has to respect that.

10/14/2018 - 8:33am That’s Sparty’s game. They…

That’s Sparty’s game. They drag you into the mud and want to play. Rarely looks impressive but have found a knack for winning those games. We’ll have a few wrinkles in the game as well for them. Michigan still has to prove they can play on the road. NW was a win but they definitely struggled to get things started. Same way at ND. Michigan is getting better each week and expect them to stay on that line. Tough close loss on the road. Tough close win on the road. Here’s to a tough yet somewhat comfortable win in the progression.

On a punt! Figures that’s when they’d decide to give up a holding call in Michigan’s favor...when they’re giving the ball up anyway. I had a nice laugh when they made that call.

10/06/2018 - 9:33pm Noticed they were calling…

Noticed they were calling more legit calls...but it’s Maryland. They’ll bring us more in line by making the calls on teams Michigan mops the floor with so it will appear they’re not an outlier but I’m waiting out to see if it carries over to the stronger opponents.

I don't know how but I've liked the fullback position more and more as far as who Michigan has had at the position since Harbaugh took over.  Has Mason peaked the crescendo or can there possibly someone that could improve upon the fullback position beyond how Ben has?

09/23/2018 - 8:12am Loved all 60 minutes of this…

Loved all 60 minutes of this game and the coaches’ press conferences after the game. Scott Frost looked like he was about to go cry home to mommy. Seriously looked like Michigan broke him, which to be fair we had him over our knee the entire game.

Feel bad for the guy.  I've had both ACLs replaced as well.  Not a fun process.  Luckily have yet to tear again in 7 years (after tearing both in a span of two years).  Here's hoping he's on the same track.

As an aside, perhaps this will make the low-level ND fans think twice about wishing injury upon their opponents as read in their hate thread earlier today.

If this is the kind of material ESPN has to run for Michigan to be on their front page I'll take it.  Much better than OSU, MSU, PSU, Rutgers, Maryland right now.
