I'm going to call it your Glen Rice Indy 500. 41 man. I hope to make it to that many. This will be my 13th in a row. Unfortunately I never went as a kid because my family always drove down to my Aunt and Uncle's house in Louisville for their big 500 party. They were always a blast, but I truly did not know what I was missing until my first 500 in 2003. I fell in love instantly and I will go every year for the rest of my life.

Got a promotion yesterday (not much more money but at least there's a whole lot more responsibility...), off today, work the whole weekend. I'll be making the best of my Friday for sure.
Wahoo! Once im out, my lady and I are headed up north to Traverse City area for a long weekend and going hiking and sight seeing. Haven't been up there during the summer since I was young except to go skiiing.
Any recomendations? Weather is supposed to be good up there Sunday and Monday.
I know were going to check out Sleeping Bear Dunes but other then that who knows!

Best time of year to find Petoskey stones. The whole northwest will be loaded with this year's batch that migrate to shore over the winter.
the family was on a vacation in the UP and we were walking around by the painted rocks on the shores of Lake Superior and I founf a Petosky stone the size of a softball. It sits on my dresser to this day.
Gonna be a good weekend. Kids ballgames, nice weather, and I am going to try to do some fishing.
