The WMU job is open again.  Could he be looking to get out?  The team leadership seems to be a bit dysfunctional at the moment and he was turned down by Penn State.  Could the only Beilein holdover be ready for his shot at a head coaching job?  Is it time for Juwan to shake up his staff?

He and I are the same age. We played each other the summer before our senior year. I also went to WMU initially before transferring to Michigan. So I've always felt a bit of a kinship with him and followed his career.

This seems like a good time to make that move in my opinion. The MAC seems to be down right now so there's no reason he couldn't make some waves in Kalamazoo.

I just don't see any intimidation in the paint or D by Dickinson.  He has become soft on D now that Franz isn't on him, and it shows.  I do think we win the game without him, unfortunately.  Too big of a liability on D now.

Are you talking about Saddi?

I do think Michigan's defensive coaching this year was subpar.  The gameplan against MSU made no sense.  Same with Illinois when Curbello was in.

I'm not sure how much of Hunter's limitations you can blame on coaches but they did play him too much.  He would get winded and then whenever he was in foul trouble (often) he would quit playing defense like today which makes having him on the floor not even worth it.

In general.

TBH, if I had the ability to dock points, one-word OP titles would be an automatic -1000 the first time and -5000 the 2nd offense.  It takes zero effort and is completely unnecessary.

This is an intelligent community, and as such, we all have the ability to construct an informative title. To not do so is pretty damn lazy.   If someone is going to post a thread, at very minimum it should include a clear and concise title AND provide content and/or promote discussion.

This particular thread title is nothing other than a massive failure.

Juwan is very bad at rotations.  After watching today, I don’t think he is accepting of much of their input on that issue so I think a couple of the assistants may bolt including Saadi.  Honestly, Juwan today appeared to be lost and I’m not sure it was an isolated incident.  There is no way you can lose that game.  This situation is getting complicated.

Indiana’s bench played 71 minutes to our bench’s 29. I generally agree with Craig Ross that you don’t need to have a deep bench. College kids shouldn’t get tired from playing 3 games in 5 days. But today was the counter example to that. Indiana was much fresher in the second half. We’ve experienced the 24-2 type second half runs all season long. I was hoping in game 31 we were passed that. And then we got hit with a 28-4 run or whatever the heck it was today. Weird team, weird season.

Well Craig Ross says college kids don't get tired because he never got tired when he played pick-up ball. The fact is, they do get tired and tired legs are manifested in poor shooting and/or sub par defense.

Hunter's conditioning has been questionable to me since he started last year. Maybe it is a function of being so big, but particularly when you are at games you see signs that he is frequently gassed. Today coming off the stomach flu, the situation was exacerbated. You have to sub for him more.

Yes, I completely agree.  Phil's rotations were much different than Juwan's and I liked them.  Bufkin, Frankie, and Terrence should have played much more with that lead.  Up 17 there was no reason to be running with the starters into the ground.  These past few weeks and the ones upcoming are a grind, catch rest where you can.

I believe that the 2nd half collapse was physical and mental.

Have to imagine a MAC position will be available any year. Better to leave a year after Michigan reaches the Final 4 or wins another conference title. And better for Michigan to keep a talented guy around until then.

i'm sorry, the "team leadership is dysfunctional [sic]?"  what does that mean?  is there any evidence - at all - that juwan has lost the locker room?  at all?  there is not.

take that shit somewhere else.
