PFF Loves MICHIGAN week 1
PFF (pro football focus). Ranked 3 Wolverines #1 at their position after the first week (first time a school had 3 players ranked #1 in their brief history, couple years). QB. Cade McNamara. DE Aidan Hutchinson and C Andrew Vasardis It won’t let me copy and paste the link from PFF .. Cade is # 2 in Passing efficiency in the nation , Aidan had 4 tackles , I sack , 1 forced fumble and 1 QB pressure

The thing I may have liked the most about Cade McNamara in their grading system is, "He threw no turnover-worthy passes".

Holy buckets he threw 11 passes against western Michigan. I know we’re all starving for pro-UM football content but let’s keep in our pants for another week or 2.

A player for our favorite team played well and looked good and got some recognition. Since we are fans of our favorite team, its okay for us to enjoy good things.

don't tell me what to put in my pants and when

I don't understand how a ball that gets batted by a DL does not count as a turnover worthy pass. I loved Cade's overall performance and hopefully he can clean this up because those batted balls may easily end up in the hands of the opposing defense.

I like Cade a lot, but it seems like he has a relatively low release point. Not quite side-arming it, but it almost looks like he has sort of a weird shot-putting motion to his throw. Might be an issue from time to time.

I was a little weary of the batted balls. There was the report from spring or sometime that he had a lot of batted balls too.
Hopefully he will adapt to real game speed and throwing lanes quickly.

I don't know about the other one but one of those happened because an interior DL was pushing the OL into the backfield and got a hand up. Very clear on replay from behind Cade. I don't put that on Cade.

S&P ratings have Michigan as #7…with a projected record of 9-3. I think a lot of this is likely over correction of some of our opponents, but interesting none the less.

I dont think anyone here is playing on Saturday. We can probably relax our focus a bit.

Where is one frame at a time?

It's got a bucket problem.

One thing with pff is that there is no opponent adjustment. In these early weeks, High scoring players almost always are playing poor competition relatively speaking.

It somehow feels like Adrian Martinez has been at Nebraska since the Bo Pelini era.

I think thats cus there was a similar style and looking QB who was also named Martinez. Taylor i believe?

That's probably it

Vastardis had the key block in the Henning TD.... watch the replay. Sainsristil came later.

That's nice, but so was the Minnesota game. They looked organized, prepared, and we'll conceived. That's the trend we want to continue.

Based on stats and analytics, Washington has a formidable defense. If McNamara has another highly efficient showing and leads us to a comfortable victory, we should definitely start to get excited.

The Washington game will be interesting. They have a good defense, and we (look to) have a good offense. They have a terrible offense, but we have a weak defense, so how those match ups play out will be interesting, to say the least.
