OT - Migos Have the #1 Song on Billboard

Submitted by alum96 on

I rarely contribute to nonsense OT season but since both football and basketball seasons are over... Migos have the #1 song on Billboard.  I remember a youthful energy football coach launching them into the mainstream.  Everything he touches turns to gold....

I personally don't care for trap rappers like Migos and 21 Savage. But, their taste in football coaches is impeccable. As far as current stuff goes, I'm more of a Run The Jewels guy.

Life's a tragedy generator operating at max capacity. They're easily the go to duo when I want to feel like throwing my couch through a brick wall. Makes my pampered white ass feel hard...

I'd love that too and what better venue could they possibly choose, but I don't know how many of their songs they'd be able to play. I saw Plant in Ann Arbor four or five years ago and he played some Zeppelin. It was with his band of joy so it had different style to it. I think it was a five to six piece string band with a drummer. Anyways he could not hit his high notes, which he featured in most of the Zeppelin catalog. I would still pay a lot to see Page play live. You old farts that have are so lucky.

Lol. You finding out about Migos from Harbaugh doesn't mean that's what launched them into the "mainstream." Yes, I totally agree, Harbaugh picks up on cool things and runs with them that certainly helps us with recruits. But they were big way before Harbaugh. And as someone else pointed out...Donald Glover caused this boom.

Lol, I'm sorry dude. Migo's were already a part of mainstream hip hop and very popular. I think both sides got something out of their partnership. Migos is very popular during the football season, especially among athletes, and Harbaugh is popular with the hip hop crowd, particularly with that type of hip hop.

You know you're old when . . .

I read this thread and don't know who anyone is talking about, other than LED Zeppelin, Van Halen and Ozzy.

Damn, I'm much too young to feel this damn old.

Damn that's a long and repetitive rap song. It's got a bad ass feel to it. Not a big fan though. I did like the line, "gettin that chicken with blue cheese." Now I'll feel a little more gangsta next time I dip my chicken chunks in blue cheese.
