Yea, I think you're right on…

Yea, I think you're right on that for sure. You can't be too far back and expect to win. Realistically I think you'd need to be Top 10 starting out. Because beyond that point you don't just need the leader to falter but all the other people who start out ahead of you, too. And that seems fair to me because it's an incentive to play well all season. Cheers!

This format is a big…

This format is a big improvement over the previous format. Before there was often literally no way for the leader going into the Tour Championship to lose. Just like 2018 when Justin Rose lost to the Tour Championship to Tiger but still won the FedEx cup. That was compelling because of Tiger's win for sure but there was no juice to the last tournament for a while.

2 of the 4 years they've had this format the leader going in hasn't won. So I think the leads going in are not as huge as they may seem and makes for a more interesting final. There's no guarantee the leader will have their A game that week and anything can happen.

I doubt that's a protected…

I doubt that's a protected rivalry game and the divisions will be gone. Probably not playing PSU next year.

Michigan is the home…

Michigan is the home sideline this year.

The city of Indianapolis and Lucas Oil Stadium will play host to the 12th annual Big Ten Football Championship Game on December 3, 2022. The champion of the East Division will be the designated home team for this year's contest and will face the champion of the West Division. Kickoff for the game is set at 8 p.m. ET.

Lol. You finding out about

Lol. You finding out about Migos from Harbaugh doesn't mean that's what launched them into the "mainstream." Yes, I totally agree, Harbaugh picks up on cool things and runs with them that certainly helps us with recruits. But they were big way before Harbaugh. And as someone else pointed out...Donald Glover caused this boom.

who

...ops

Ok...

So who can we trade him for? Still 2 weeks til the trade deadline...

Or maybe we can hold another satellite camp for 5* QBs only?

Make it retroactive to 2013

Or who cares.

Narrative

In case you needed more proof that most of what typical "journalist" blowhards say is narrative-driven rather than, you know, facts...this would be it.

Good call

I think you're right

"Best Coach in Football"

Hackett mentioned again that a famous retired football broadcaster who is no longer in sports told him "You didn't just get a great coach, you got the best coach in football today."

I can't come up with any ideas of who it is. Any one else have a clue?

Exactly

I'm only a very recent subscriber to the other sites and people would be surprised at the length of delay in information. And most of it doesn't make it over here at all.

Which is good, because it's not fair to just rip premium content and disseminate everywhere (looking at you, Teddy Blanks).

Free rider problem

Classic economics principle at play here...

It really isn't dumb for people to pay. If no one paid at all, these sites wouldn't exist and there would be no information to copy and paste.

The fact that you don't pay simply means that others value the information more than you and subsidize it for the rest.

So, as someone who does pay for a couple sites...you're welcome.

Teddy Blanks

I really hate that this guy keeps getting cited when all he does is rip stuff off of other premium message boards and posts it on Twitter.

This particular tidbit he stole from Scout as it was posted there over 2 hours ago.

But yes, seems like this is true and will help with Rashan Gary.

Time to fire it back up again...

IT'S H4PPENING!!!!

And he will be OC, not OL coach

Hearing offensive line coach Tim Drevno will become the offensive coordinator for Jim Harbaugh at Michigan.

This from a USC player...

I am happy for Coach Drev and wish him luck with his new job because he deserves it. He has a great opportunity. I love that guy.

well...

Usually the way "reporting" goes, you will put that modifier in.

Like: "An update...still no contract signed. UM still confident. No news here is good news."

Or just not say anything at all when you have nothing new.

The fact that he chose neither leads me to believe he's just after some spotlight and retweets.

This guy just wants his name on this

How is that tweet any different than this one from yesterday?

Source says, Harbaugh will tell SF team after Sunday's game and be introduced Tuesday. Once again, nothing signed, but UM confident.

WHOA!

"If he doesn't come, they could sue him for breach of contract."

That's the boldest statement I've heard yet.

IT'S HAPPENING!!

Of course

Next you're gonna tell us you had a baby the day of The Game.

Your caveats...

Add to your crediblity for some reason.

Maybe because I really hope you're right!

Yes, except Arians was in the

Yes, except Arians was in the unique situation of proving himself as an HC while still being a coordinator when Chuck Pagano was out. Which made the decision to pick Trestman over him all the more confounding and stupid.

Thanks for the update,

Thanks for the update, Brian!!

And in response...

Sam Webb just retweeted this:

To all asking about Bruce Feldman. Michigan has made an offer. has confirmed a $49 million offer. Still no confirmation on yrs.

Sounds like it could be the 8 yr, $49 million we were hearing earlier?

You don't think Harbaugh's

You don't think Harbaugh's agent wouldn't tell other teams what the offer was???

If he didn't, he'd be a terrible agent.

Yep

And as a Bears fan I would be equally PISSED if he were to go to Chicago.

Michigan means WAY more than the NFL (to me, anyway).

Cleaning house

With his mentality, there was no choice but for him to go.

Massive culture change happening...I love it.

Scott Roussel from "Football

We're really "struggling" to get anyone to say yes to the job.

Meh

I'd buy that argument if the Big Ten Tourney didn't consistently have the highest TV ratings of any of other tourney. Last year's title game was the highest rated non-NCAA Tourney game except for regular season Duke-Syracuse.

In 2013 both of the Big Ten Semi games had higher ratings than ANY other conference tourney game, including every other Title game.

I don't think seeding impact of one game between two good teams is really that great either. If anything I think you'd have some luster lost by having all the teams be off for a whole week.

The dumb part...

The title game will be a FULL WEEK before selection Sunday.

Sets up an 11 day+ layoff for all of our teams before the NCAA Tournament.

That is just a terrible idea.

Moreover

Have to create a new password every time I log on as well.

Who was the NFL Defensive POY last year?

This guy.

I'm not going to even touch your ridiculously inaccurate implication that guys that grew up in rough neighborhoods have low character. Because that's not even worth it.

Jill will tumble before Jack

Raback it.

Troll: identified

Time to go neg all of his posts in this thread and all others made in the past. He'll be in the red quite soon.

No it doesn't

I don't know what this "loosing" is you speak of. But I think you should losen up!

Can't believe this thread is

Can't believe this thread is still alive!! I love the mods. My drink of choice tonight? Milk. Gonna get rowdy.

The same production?

Only 3 guys had a higher OBP than he did last year. That is highly valued in the days of Sabermetrics.

Someone needs to teach you

Someone needs to teach you what parole means. He's not a felon, he's not on parole. He violated his probation.

Absolutely

Stepping into the closer role turned the best lefty reliever in baseball, Matt Thornton, into a guy who looks like he forgot how to pitch. The last 3 outs of the game really are the toughest to get, and it takes some real mental toughness to do it. Blowing leads in the 9th takes a hugely negative toll on a team. In the case of the White Sox, we should have started year off 10-2 if we don't blow the leads we did. Now we're 8-13 because that sent us into a tailspin. The value of a solid closer just can't be overstated.

You couldn't be more wrong

Please tell me who you think is the better than him on BTN? Why do you think BTN has a weekly feature of Gus Johnson's best calls? What other announcer gets that treatment? Exactly. And Jim Nantz does the title game because he has been doing it for 20 years. He's got seniority. There's a reason people talk about the "Law of Gus"...that close finishes seem to follow him because his calls of the game are so awesome.

The more you post, the more I think you must be a pretty miserable person.

whoops.

whoops.

Novak

This is really the only thing I disagree with here. Even if Novak's numbers go down--which I highly doubt will be the case if he is moved to the 3 where he no longer has to use so much energy on D--he is still the captain. Same with Stu. CJ Lee and David Merritt were solid but not amazing players that were still essential leaders. I don't think there is any doubt Zach and Stu will be the captains.

How about...

In response to BigHouse_00 saying he had MSU in the Sweet 16 and ruining his bracket, some guy responds:

"Well you're an idiot savant if you had MSU winning two games. Unless you're an alum or big MSU fan why on Earth would you?"

Sounds like someone needs to be informed of what the phrase "idiot savant" means.

It's ok

I'm not in a contract year.
