Nice article on Kurt Taylor
Seems like a great, hard working kid. Check out those biceps!

He definitely has the right to bear those arms!
/no politics intended
some OMG Shirtless! snark, but my god, that kid's arms are huge. Like mid 80's Hulk Hogan huge.
If I had arms like that I would walk around all day destroying various objects just because I could.
"You're Goddamn Right" gif hahaha
Yes, here is another one, amazing....
/off to the gym.
for no particular reason I felt this young man might enjoy a better than anticipated careet at UM. While it's obvious Jim would like to gain inroads in that state, especially given its output as to skill players that Kurt, imo, was taken for Kurt and what he could offer now instead of an investment in the future.
Young man is obviously a hard workder and although not a burner is faster than those chasing him, which is all that's necessary. Feel like he could be a real Norm Bolach type - probably pressing the age button too hard on that one - think LeRoy Hoard as nice combination of power and sufficient speed. Low center of gravity definitely gives him good chance at falling forward but think he could be a real contributor.
Also like the fact he wanted to take on stiffer comp his final h.s. season.

It's hard to tell, but I don't think so.
After reading this I am really rooting for this kid. Seems like he has an aswesome attitude, and will fit in great with how Harbaugh does things!
isn't too shabby either. With this work ethic, Kurt Taylor will definitely make some kind of impact at Michigan - whether at RB, special teams, or whatever.
I like the quote from his new HS coach. "He's quiet, he just works hard and does what he's supposed to do."

"Just the atmosphere," Taylor said of his decision to pick Michigan. "They've got the best fans. There's just a certain feeling you get when you go. It's a feeling I got from Michigan that I fit very well for the offense and I've got a good relationship with the coaches and Coach Harbaugh. I love it up there."
Well, contrary to the expectations of certain SEC coaches, it definitely has not been all that cold up here recently so we've go that going for us too.
In all seriousness, Taylor sounds like he's got a great attitude and a great work ethic - generally, a great fit for the culture that Harbaugh is creating here in Ann Arbor.
He looks ready for CFB now.
Mike Hart 2.0?
Slightly taller Jamie Morris 2.0?
I mean, really Kurt Taylor 1.0, but it seems like RBs his size have had great success at Michigan in the past. Glad to have him on board, and especially to pull him from the heart of the SEC.
sees Frank Gore 2.0.. Small, tough, quiet, team guy, hard worker, etc...
heavier weights. And since I'm almost 40, probably take a bunch of roids.
Just about every GNC guy knows about the over the counter and illegal stuff. I go to a gym and just mention guys like The Rock or wrestlers to a meat head and they have all the information it seems. Good to know in case you need to become a universal soldier.
Between Taylor and O'Maury Samuels, the overarching strategy for the 2017 RB recruiting appears to be "really beefy arms."
Hard working "Athletes". Whether its pure speed or strength our RB's all seem to have something different to offer. I like it.
Obviously there are those rare players who have it all (Fournette) but I like how we seem to be recruiting a variety of players all over the field.
I like Taylor. He may not have elite top end speed but he looks really good at the line of scrimmage and seems to have good vision at that point. And of course, he is really strong.
I think he is a guy that can get you a lot of 4-6 yard chunks and can be a valuable member of the running game. I think he is a "Harbaugh kind of guy" and reminds me of a slightly shorter, but shiftier Deveon Smith.
to arrive on campus. He seems like he will really excel under Harbaugh's schemes.
On a RB related note, I was watching a video from MaxPreps that lists the top 10 RB's for 2017. They have Cam Akers ranked #2 and the narrator, Zack Poff, said he expects Akers to end up in Ann Arbor to play for Harbaugh. Not sure who Poff is, but I hope he knows his stuff. Akers looks like a real game changer.
No wonder Kurt Jr. is a Harbaugh recruit. Like father, like head coach.
Exactly. This kid screams Harbaugh in his work ethic and attitude. I look forward to seeing him crush through defenders in the open field!
He really does remind me of Frank Gore.
I love the varied skillsets of the incoming RBs.

Now that he's playing for one of the top teams in the country with a run-first offense... this could be a guy that gets others in the region talking about Michigan.
I will be tuning into his team's first game against IMG and hopefully fire up that hype train.
Grayson is a powerhouse here in GA and there will be a lot of attention to how Kurt performs there. He'll be going against top competition - a good year would almost certainly result in a 4* ranking.

(Not sure if it warrants it's own thread)...
Which Harbaugh recruited RB (and FB) are you most excited about and/or which do you think will have the best career at Michigan?
2017 Class: O'Maury Samuels, A.J. Dillon, Kurt Taylor, and Chase Lasater
2016 Class: Kareem Walker and Kingston Davis
2015 Class: Karan Higdon
I think I'm most excited to see what O'Maury Samuels can do, but I think Kareem Walker will have the most success of the listed RB's. He's a bruiser built for Harbaugh's offense.
That's all I have to say :)
