Bought last year's model of theTLC55R617 about a year ago and couldn't be happier. It has built in Roku TV (which is a platform for streaming apps). Netflix, HBOGO, Youtube, Amazon Video... all built in and easy to use.
The TV was name wirecutter's best TV: https://thewirecutter.com/reviews/best-tv/
Just make sure to update the TV settings to get the best picture: https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/tcl/6-series-2018-r617

Ty and Aaron are absolutely fantastic, but there is a reason professional teams from all over the world have come to learn from Clemson's media department. It's also amazing that the majority of work that's done at Clemson is by students.

|02/16/2018 - 3:07pm||coaching the OL will really||
coaching the OL will really be Ed Warriner's sole job
I could be wrong, but it's my understanding that Ed's role this year specifically can NOT be coaching the players in any capacity. He can't actually interact with the players.
|02/07/2018 - 10:14am||100% Agree||
At this point - we are selling Hope to OL. Kids want to play for a coach/team that has the best chance to put them in the NFL. I don't blame this kid at all.
Look at what we did to Mason Cole - moved him around his whole career because of necessity and likely hurt his peak draft stock. I honestly think untill we get a new OL coach and our team starts consistently putting OL in the NFL we will have trouble recruiting the types of kids we want.
|01/04/2018 - 4:15pm||Damn||
And all those defensive recruits that Michigan wanted and came in 2nd for... too bad the early signing period already happed, because I bet a few would have switched to Don Brown know that this happened.

Always pissed me off seeing MSU license plates around Atlanta. Let's make this happen people!
|10/06/2017 - 1:30pm||2018... ?!||
Seriously, what is the deal with 2018 recruiting? Right now we are expected to lose 2 of our top 3 recruits and it doesn't appear that we are in great position with that many overall top 150 players.
I expected a LOT more out of Harbugh recruiting year 3.

Glad to see Hoke back to what he does best - find exceptional talent at DL and coach them up. Wish we could get Hoke back when GM retires. I think this was a great move by Tennessee.

This alone means that it was much more serious than an ACL. Hell, the standard isn't even to operate on a torn ACL for a few weeks after injury.

Don't by the clubs, one-by-one. That is foolish and will end up costing you more money in the long run. On the flip side, don't go out and buy a custom fitted set of nice clubs that you 'think' will last you forever.
Look on craigslist, golfwrx.com, and callaway used and find yourself a decent set of used clubs. Golf clubs are like luxury cars, their value drops exponentially after they are used and there are tons of people that spend tons of money on a new set each year (basically selling their barely used clubs from last season for a fraction of the original cost).
Do your research and find a 'game-improvement' set of clubs. These are clubs that are geared towards someone learning to playgolf, but will work for many years to come. The heads of the clubs are gennerally larger and they will be more forgiving on miss-hits. You should be able to find a decent set of irons (4-pw) for ~$250. Much better to spend that amount now then getting a super shitty pair from Wallmart which will break or you'll outgrow in a year.
Go to a golf store (if possible) and ask to try out some of these clubs. Golfsmith and simular stores will let you try out clubs for free on a simulator. Just have to ask and tell the employee you are looking for a 'game improvement' set of irons. But you're not good at hitting yet and shank a bunch of shots in the simulator? Doesn't fucking matter. You're just there to figure out which set of irons look and feel good to you. Becuase everyone has a different opinion on what is best. Ping, Titleist, Cobra, Taylormade, Callaway - they all make good clubs. Comes down to preference 100%. Ping G25, Taylormade SLDR, Titleist AP1 - these are all previous year models that are widely praised for being durable and performing above their price range so a good place to start.
Driver, 3 wood, hybrids, wedges - get them all second hand if possible. Have an ucle or friend who never plays anymore? Perfect. Ask if you can use his for a while. If that doesn't work, eBay and golfwrx.com have been the best deals for me. The irons you already bought should give you plenty of time to improve while you look for good deals on these other clubs.
Last but not least - if you really are serious about getting better, spend the money and get a lesson from a certified instructor. Do you research on golf websites and find someone worth the money (becuase it will be more than you think). Don't use your girlfriends, friend's, brother who has been playing for a few years for $20. Get a real lesson.
Even just 2 lessons with a good instructor will help you more than 100 range sessions when starting out.
Good luck and have fun!
|07/20/2016 - 11:53am||Pace Academy||
One thing to note is that Salyer's school, Pace Academy, is hands down one of the top private schools in Atlanta. It's tuition is that of a college ($20k+ a year) and it is known for having an extremely successful acedemic program. Pace is really are not known at all for their sports prowess and there are a number of other private schools around Atlanta that have much more successful football programs. Hopefully Michigan's acedmics will really appeal to Salyer and his family.

It is only worth getting fitted if you have a consistent swing. As players get better their stance and posture will improve.
|07/01/2016 - 10:47am||Totally Agree||
Grayson is a powerhouse here in GA and there will be a lot of attention to how Kurt performs there. He'll be going against top competition - a good year would almost certainly result in a 4* ranking.
|07/01/2016 - 10:01am||Yep||
Hard working "Athletes". Whether its pure speed or strength our RB's all seem to have something different to offer. I like it.
Obviously there are those rare players who have it all (Fournette) but I like how we seem to be recruiting a variety of players all over the field.

|05/25/2016 - 2:25pm||The most important thing to||
The most important thing to do is fully understanding the complete compensation package. I prefer to think in a total compensation picture with considerations for base, bonus, 401k match, ESPP, vacation, benefits, and similar.
Use the internet as your guide. Use every resource you can find to figure out what the industry standard is for that position as well as that position at the current company (e.g. glassdoor). The better prepared you are then better you will be at negociating.
Most of the time - depending on the total package, I personally am comfortable with some flexibility allocating across those buckets. I had multiple offers when looking for my last job, but ended up goign with a lower base salary offer because it had better insurance and 10 extra days of paid vacation a year.
Letting the employer know that you view the 'total package' kind of sets the expectations for further negotiations on bonus, vacation, etc. If they have crappy vacation time, I use that to negotiate more time/higher base/bigger bonus. Bad 401k match? Same thing. They're not willing to move on pay? More vacation. It lets them know there are a lot of ways to get to a good package, but I'm expecting to be made whole through some combination of all the pieces.
I should add that this approach successfully netted me a ~38% raise when I moved into my current job.
Hope that helps.
|05/17/2016 - 1:59pm||'The Opening' = Big Deal||
'The Opening' is Nike's invitation only event for high school football held each year out in Oregon. Basically, kids go to regional camps which are held accross the country and compete in various drills and testing. The SPARQ score is basically a mini-NFL combine test (think 40yrd dash, shuttle, distance throw of a medicine ball). It's basically a test to determine the overall 'athleticness' of a kid. A combination of this score and how well a player performs at the regional camps seem to be what is used for players to get an invite to the Opening.
There are ~160 players invited each year with most being seniors in High School (although some top, top talent like Rashan Gary have been invited their Junior year).
Most Invitee's tend to go becuase Nike provides a ridiculous amount of free appareal for the players and it's generally seen as the most elite camp each year. In fact, the past couple of years the event has been shown on various ESPN channels.
Not only has St-Juste been invited to attend, but at the regional Nike camp he attended - he posted a world class shuttle time of under 4 seconds. In fact - his time would have been tied for 2nd place in this years NFL combine. At 6'3", St-Juste's time is even more ridulous as the shuttle tends to favor shorter, agile, players.
In summary - this is all very, very good news.
