Hold me Sopwith and tell me everything will be alright!

Prediction: Folks who have been really unhappy with me in my mentions the last couple of days are going to be really, really unhappy with me by dinner time.

Right. Just because we got caught cheating means everyone else must be cheating in the exact same way too!

(Look, I'm not sure how big an advantage it actually gave us, or if it's even against the rules! I'll let other people figure all that out. But ... come on now. "If we're doing it, then other teams must be doing it too?" Damn, the contortions we go through to convince ourselves we didn't do anything wrong ...)

I did not state that we did nothing wrong, nor did I state that "everyone" is doing it.  I stated that there is a 0% chance that others aren't doing something like this if there is an advantage to be gained and grey area to be explored.  And it was in response to the post that reporters are sniffing around OSU for similar activities.

So kindly piss off.

Correct. Stealing signals is fine, it's the method in which they're stolen that comes under fire...

If an employee of the program "sends" non employees to steal signals is this now a crime or a loophole? And are students allowed to film/steal signals and relay that information to staff members?

The whole thing is bullshit.

Stop saying we got caught cheating. Do you know that for a fact? Everything is rumor right now. It is not we. It is one person. It is "we" when coaches conspire with other coaches and analysts to gain advantage. You are trying too hard to slam UM. Some idiots are saying OSU lost only because of this. Many are trying to point out that those kind of extreme takes are not true. It does not mean there is nothing wrong here. This could be an advantage but it is unclear how much of an advantage it is.

Then explain to me how all these football insiders have said that this goes on elsewhere? Brady Quinn, former Notre Dame quarterback, "A lot of coaches that I talked to don't want to talk about it and don't want to talk about it for a reason. Anyone who's out there who says 'Oh that doesn't go on this is just Michigan!' they're lying to you or they're ignorant to how the game of football is today, at least at the the college level." A former Notre Dame quarterback is no doubt a Michigan homer! I'm sorry you must not be refreshing Twitter, Youtube, ESPN, and Reddit constantly like some of us are, but some big voices in college football have basically confirmed this is nothing new.

Nothingburger. His "breaking news" is that Connor Stalions bought a ticket to a Clemson game.

SOURCES: Michigan's alleged sign-stealing operation extended beyond just Big Ten foes. Buckeye Huddle has learned that Michigan staffer Connor Stalions also purchased a ticket to a 2022 Clemson home game.https://t.co/Dqd8SnnLCO

I don’t know if this is true, but if it’s found that he did it with schools outside of the Big Ten, then it does change the jurisdiction somewhat. The NCAA could just hand the investigation to the Big Ten, they say it’s no big deal and move on. However if he’s done it to out of conference opponents, then the NCAA could get pressure from SEC and ACC commissioner’s to drop the hammer because Michigan not being in the playoffs will absolutely increase the chances of Georgia, FSU, or anyone not named Michigan of winning it all. I would much rather have our fate determined by the Big Ten than the NCAA with pressure coming from other conferences to keep us out.

The rumor I've heard, and this is just rumor, is that they are suspicious Michigan hacked practice footage. I don't believe it because that is a real crime and the punishment is real jail, that is just the deep web rumor I have heard.

Im not being a dick. Literally everyone besides Michigan media think that this is very bad, and that there will likely be more leaks. The amount of tribalism is ridiculous. There is so much circumstantial evidence that there was some shady shit going down. the extent to it? It remains to be seen. However going “well it wasn’t TECHNICALLY hacking” isn’t as enlightening as you think.

I mean that's a lie that everyone besides Michigan media thinks this is very bad. Say what you want about the people I'm about to list to those who are like, "wtf are we even doing here?" in the media have been Cowherd, Gottlieb, Brady Quinn, Finebaum, Greeny. Just off the top of my head. Again, say what you want about the people listed but it's incorrect to say "literally everyone besides Michigan media think that this is very bad."

Colin Cowherd and Doug Gottlieb are clown hot take artists. They are not insiders or even knowledgeable of this arena. They are generalists in the media landscape and state things to generate ratings, not being correct.

Insiders to college football, folks who cover it, have had mixed reactions, but it CERTAINLY hasn’t been “nothing to see here”.

The national media isn’t infalible, they could be wrong. It’s possible that they come out of this and go “Connor was going completely rogue, and in reality it was only in person scouting for a few games. The staff has ZERO knowledge of Connor’s methods”. However, I just haven’t seen evidence that this is the case.

You're doing the exact thing that you accuse everyone else of doing, except from the other side. You have zero evidence of any wrong doing. We've heard nothing from the NCAA itself yet. Nada. Everything we've heard has been from the media or the rumor mill or some guy who knows some guy. So when you are so certain of our guilt (and it's baaaaad), you have as much actual knowledge as anyone else. You can cherry pick the media you think are legit, but let's face it: they're all in it for the money and the clicks and the views. You're a contrarian, and that's fine but you deserve to be called out for it when you have no more actual, credible information than anyone else.
