No deal has officially been signed yet but Michigan and Wisconsin DL coach Greg Scruggs are heading towards finalizing a deal in the next 24-48 hours

This could actually be a an upgrade as far as recruiting is concerned.

let's hope so.

but if it is, then in ten years when Sherrone leaves for the commanders (or whatever they're named that week) after winning his third NC, he will probably take this guy Scruggs I'd previously never ever heard of before with him and I will accuse Sherrone of nefariously "gutting the program on his way out".

That’s a bit of “both-sidesing” that doesn’t seem necessary here. There is one side that is creating 3 independent threads a day on the same topic and then also turning 1/2 of all other threads into insults, recriminations and massive negativity.
Regardless of the merit of each position, I think there’s a clear answer on which side is worse.

Considering our luck lately with coaches, I’ll believe it when it’s announced for sure. Haven’t seen anything official from football on Wink that I can remember.

"The allure of a new opportunity at a prestigious program like Michigan, the easier recruiting sell, and the potential for career advancement and financial gain made this a no-brainer move for Scruggs. It’s important to recognize that the departed staff members aren’t necessarily “Wisconsin guys” and are simply working their way up the ladder through opportunities at more prestigious programs.

In his first full recruiting cycle with the Badgers, Scruggs landed two four-star defensive linemen in Ernest Willor Jr. and Dillan Johnson. For context, Wisconsin had only landed two composite four-star DLs since 2016.

The former Wisconsin Badgers defensive line coach was reportedly courted with a significant raise. Moreover, a personal connection exists between Scruggs and Moore, stemming from their time together at the University of Louisville."
