Juwan's Tweet About Jace's First Basket

Love this. Showed his pride and gave his son a little gentle trolling over the FT. I can only imagine how cool this moment was for Juwan.

This was also the first game that families were allowed inside Crisler, so I have to believe Mama Howard was there, too.

And sue me, I don't know how to embed tweets, so here's a screenshot of it. Somebody smarter than me, please embed.

Was an awesome moment and a tremendous tweet.  Football may be frustrating as fuck but we damn lucky to have gone from Beilein to Howard.  Snagged a future NBA coach.

You think he would tear up at a press conference for the Washington Blizzards? Also doesn't the NBA coach of the year usually have to look for other employment within 24 months of earning said award? Build that legacy and work with kids. You get to build your own powerhouse through recruiting instead of salary cap luck/manipulation.

Pretty much every year around this time, the stark contrast between the football program and the basketball program becomes apparent as the former is stumbling through some embarrassment (usually it's a shit-the-bed performance in The Game or a bowl, but in this case it's the situation around Harbaugh's contract) while the latter picks us up off the mat with one or more dominating performances.

Never been into basketball but I like Juwan Howard. Have two boys of my own and I loved this tweet. Saw how fired up the team was when his son made the basket. Interested enough to watch some games before March.

agree, and basketball he literally has to recruit a few kids every year..

If Juwan thinks meeting and talking to a few kids families every year is a drag then he needs to get the fuck out of coaching..  clearly your post makes no sense as juwan loves it and it shows in how the players play for him

Plus, unlike football, we are in a talent-rich region for basketball.  In basketball, we are like the SEC is in football.

We don't have to try to pull the core of our team from out-of-region areas with a warmer climate.

We even have a brand name in oddball regions that have some excellent talent that is under-mined, like Canada and Germany.

And we have a very strong legacy of tournament success, some great rivalries, and the everlasting cool factor of the Fab Five.

And now we have a player-development pipeline to the NBA

Who in our region that now stretches to NY/NJ and DC/MD/VA wouldn't want to come play for Michigan?

Recruiting for Michigan basketball is not a hard sell.

That's awesome.

If there had been Twitter, I am sure if it were me, my father would.....no, he would have been scolding the person next to him for being on their phone during a game, telling them it was bad for their eyes, that sort of thing.
