Can we make it a rule to include basic info like star ranking, position, year, and state of origin in these posts? Y'all are making me google too much
My God, not sure if serious, but if you don't know that info about this recruit, where in the hell have you been the past month?
You also can't do all of that and be first to post. Everyone knows that.
It did not take that long. Plus if you have more information you will likely be the chosen post.
Life outside a damn blog in summer is pretty great, even when one loves Michigan. None of these decisions are tangibly impacting the team today, or for the last month, so get off it.
If you have to google Makari Paige, you need to read this site more or pay better attention.
Some people are busy with real life stuff, ya know? Not all of us live on this site.
You don't have to "live on the site" to know who one of the top targets in the state of MI is. Besides, my posting has steeply declined on this site since 2017 and *especially* since the site "upgrade" last year. I just have been around more recently because my vacation was last week.
How are you, though? Haven't heard from you in awhile.
Good god you are so full of cringe
I don't know man. I'm on this site just about every day and I had to google him. Try a little perspective maybe? Other stuff is happening in the world.
People on this site are known to have things, such as (but not limited to):
(a) jobs, (b) families, (c) lives in general
Posts should be informative. This is not controversial.
Come on now, it’s not like he is the number one player in the country.
Check the front page for these facts. Or should I say front "paige". They were posted 7 minutes before this post.
He's the third 4* safety in the 2020 class from West Bloomfield, MI.
With Daxton last year, & Metellus about to have a monster season, somehow we have become Safety U.
Metellus got dusted by a freshman and tackled his own teammate in the spring game...he’s a long way from a monster season. Good grief
Predicting a monster season by Metellus seems premature at best, but I don't think basing expectations on a few plays in the spring game (which, uh, wasn't actually a game) seems like a great idea either.
The spring game can’t tell you if a guy can play, but it can tell you when a guy can’t play.
Do you have brain damage?
What is your definition of brain damage ?
You talkin' about practice? He was a plus player on a very good defense last year & I expect improvement. I think we'll see it.
Metellus was also voted first team All-Conference by the AP, and second team by coaches last year. He is on all the award watchlists heading into this season, and his stats against the pass last season were tops in the B1G.
But yeah, he's a scrub...smh
Technically...everyone that Metellus tackled in the spring game was his team mate
That's a lot of 4* safeties for one high school.
Not even mentioning my hot take safety sleeper from this years enrollees Quentin Johnson.
At West Bloomfield High, the three of them wear fluorescent vests and are known as The Safety Patrol
It's good that the one school is Michigan.
Cosign. I'm actually quite familiar with Makari Paige, but there are way too many board posts that don't include basic information about who people are and why it should matter to a reader.
Yes. That would be helpful.
Makari Paige...so hot right now.
Another stud commits to Michigan. Good stuff!
I'll check back in December at early signing time to confirm.
Welcome Makari, way to GoBlue.
For as much as the Doras talk about the importance of keeping high rank "in state " kids, you'd think they be in here celebrating; I guess if you only care about the ones UofM loses out on, you troll.
"you'd think they be in here celebrating"
There's a portion of the Michigan "fan base" that is only happy when it's miserable...John Bacon has commented on this many times.
This isn't a recent phenomenon either; I knew people like that back in the '70s and '80s.
I recently joined that faction of the Michigan fanbase. It's not bad, but the view from the ivory tower is stunning.
Stunningly awful you mean?
That portion is almost as large as the portion that's only happy when they're complaining about how the first portion complains too much.
Not as large, though, as the portion of us who complain about generic usernames.
Touche.
Great news ! Thanks !
Solid pickup. 6th highest rated player in the class.
At #243, he would be the highest rated player in Sparty's class by 78 spots. (Their 2nd highest rated player is another 219 spots below that)
Warms the cockles.
YOU RANG?
I think I'd pick Cincinnati over MSU as a football player, as a college kid, AND as a professor looking for a job.
Cincy and Kentucky are cleaning MSU's clock in Ohio. Suck on Dumbtonio
At least call him “dicktonio” if you’re going with a stupid nickname.
I prefer Dorktonio
I tend to go with Mike D'antoni. The 'toons really get riled by that one, for some reason.
