Just speculating here, but how do we know Warde/UM Athletic Dept isn't the one who leaked that Beilein was interviewing with the Pistons and Magic last year? Maybe Coach B thought as much so he decided to keep it to himself until the last possible minute?
Look at Penny Hardaway at Memphis though in regards to Howard. He didn't have NBA or NCAA coaching experience before taking over the HC job but filled his staff with former NBA players like Mike Miller and recruits like crazy now. Not sure how that'll look in a few years but just a data point to consider.
I doubt any of our guys will be a first round pick - maybe DPJ. There were only two 1st round draft picks at WR this year - both taken pick 25 or later.
