IF he does commit to Clemson after having nothing to do with them for 3 years, I will never pay attention to recruiting again (and make obvious statements about bagmen).

neighbor, whose also my neighbor, she assured me that I need to clean my gutters....I pressed her and she said she has no idea who Gary is. I feel better now.

There's nothing else UM could do to get him here, so if he chooses elsewhere, that's the way it goes. Sure, it'll suck, but we will be ok. Not all recruits are sure things (except peppers).

Just checked my source... Nothing has changed that Michigan must be infienitely confident in his commitment. I have no information from Gary's side but what I am aware of that Michigan has done has not changed. As long as that does not change then I have no reason feel anything but 100% confident.

Lost in all of this meltdown is the fact that Jim Freakin Harbaugh is a mad scientist level genius. All of this panic and on Wednesday at Signing of the Stars we will finish with a top 3 class. The Harbaugh hire was kept pretty tight. Trust the coaches. And smile knowing it's all part of the plan.

My take is that Gary's two good friends switched their committments from other B1G schools to Michigan. It would be pretty weird for him to now go with Clemson.

(Adding, if the schools Dwumfour and Walker switched from were MAC schools, then I'd say Gary's just making sure they get into a good program. But it was PSU and OSU. To me it's seeming to be part of a plan.)

Call it PDSD (Post Disappointment Stress Disorder), but I have little confidence in such matters anymore. Too many examples of "He's Blue for sure!" followed by, "Well, that's how recruiting goes." I hope we get him, but I'm not celebrating anything until LOIs come off the fax.

So, the 50-50 reports we've heard from the Rivals guys seem to be true.  This is really really bad.  He should not be 50-50 considering all the ties we have for him now at our school, his former teammates and Partridge.

And as far as not having a relationship with the Clemson staff, I think they've visited him several times and his mom seems to really like them.  His mom seems to be out of it now and he has to pick between the 2.

I'd like to go back to the old days where no one knew recruiting but a few crazy people. Then first time you see a true freshman on the field for Michigan you think to yourself "golly! That young man must've been quite good in high school to be playing already!" and then you continue watching

It was awesome when some dude you've never heard of made a huge play vs. EMU in the first game and you find out he is a freshman and think "we must have got some decent recruits"

If he never played again you didn't freak out either. You just thought "Well, he is a freshman"

Admittedly, because points are involved, I always had this vision of the blog - at its worst and in a time of dire emergency where survival was at stake - becoming something along the lines of "Alive". A certain amount of bloggers would perish in a catastrophic thread, and after great debate, their points would be consumed so that the remaining bloggers might live.

I hate that another school got his last official. The good things always are fresher in the mind.

I hope we get him, everything at M is lined up for him-immediate playing time, NFL proven head coach, NFL proven position coach, outstanding D coordinator.

Outstanding academic program and support system. Close friends embedded in program. I mean, this is why they call college football an arms race, these kids choices are unbelievable.

He set up his friend Dwumfour to be here, (let's hope MD is the second coming of Willie Henry irrespective of Gary).

It will sting if he chooses someone else, but we have a great class and will continue to improve and win big with Harbaugh and the talent we have regardless.

This program is going to be at the big boy table, I really hope Gary chooses to be a part of it, but I am not gonna feel any less confidant it he decides not to.

HARBAUGH:

Harbaugh knows. I mean, come on, he's having a freaking signing of the stars event with all of these guests attending. We're getting Gary.

There's still not a single crystal ball for Clemson, a lot of Gary's friends will be attending here, Partridge, Peppers, long time relationship with the staff, etc.

Should be 100% Michigan but then again #crootin.

Recruits always try to drum up interest for an announcement. See Fuller tweeting Michigan stuff and probably picking ohio state. We have academics, tons of visits from him, Dwumfour, Walker, Partridge etc.

Michigan rarely gets the last visit. Not even the last in home visit. Maybe they prefer not being the last.

Just FYI... TVH is about to appear on the Paul Finebaum Show. He will talk Gary and a lot of other stuff. Just a few minutes away.

EDIT: He can not talk about Gary by mentioning his name. Not allowed to mention names before guys sign on the Network.
