01/05/2018 - 3:36pm Bring back Wheatley as Oc or co OC

Bring back the coach that will make a real difference. Tyrone turned around the RBs in no time. He is due for an OC or head coach role.

01/01/2018 - 7:02pm Positive take but...

Unless we find an offense that can stay with the big boys, think 7-5, 8-4.

The defense is fine, the offense is no threat to any opponent as it currently stands.

Defense was on field in bad situations way too many times this year.

01/01/2018 - 5:05pm No playmakers on offense

Been a long time since we had a QB or RB that could change a big game(positively).

01/01/2018 - 5:01pm Long way to go

He played poorly today, however, I think the offensive game plan was suspect, and, we don’t have receivers that catch balls that hit their hands, let alone the tough catches our opponents WRs make.

This offense is worse than it was in Sept and will not be effective next year without substantial player and coaching improvement.

We do not make plays, SC made plays against a very tough defense. Looked like Mich scout team offense.

12/02/2017 - 11:56pm Wiscy o line

Looks worse than ours

12/02/2017 - 11:31pm Because

Our QB couldn’t make throws and DBs got beat on some unbelievable catches.

10/28/2017 - 3:45pm Always good to win, but

This is Rutgers. We should have blown them out by more. Good opponent to get Peters feet wet.

Keep improving and winning.

10/09/2017 - 12:22pm Peters?

I believe Okorn has played 2 1/2 games in three years?

He needs reps, game speed reps. As do his skill players with him.

The bye week hurt this team, would have been better if Okorn could have gotten more experience, but, that's not the way it was.

Give the guy a chance.

10/08/2017 - 10:25pm Harbaugh is fine

Harbaugh did not put the ball on the ground, Harbaugh did not throw three straight pics. No matter the play calling bitches, take away even just three of those and we win the game.

Harbaugh didn't miss the tackles against FSU. Kickoff team doesn't miss three tackles we win the bowl game.

Harbaugh didn't screw up the 1'st down call against OSU. That call, plus a couple blatantly missed PI calls, and we beat the Bucks.

Conservative game plan for Iowa, but we were a first down away from winning.

Are their issues with this young team, yes.

Get real, we couldn't do any better than Harbaugh.

This team is good and is going to get better. Make the CFP, not Likely. Win the BIG, tough with a div loss. But, this team and season is not done.

10/07/2017 - 11:38pm GREAT DEFENSE

And will only get better with experience. So young and so good.

10/07/2017 - 11:30pm Improvement possible

Ok, five turnovers would doom a good offense, so, first thing is we have no chance when we turn the ball over that much.

Ok, now..

OL was dominated in the first half, played better in second. Even Cole and Bredeson.

WRs look raw and lack experience(Perry is exception)

Mediocre QBs do not winning games

Play calling has to get better

Higdon looks like the lead back. Isaac and Evans are ok, but not game breakers.

Okorn looked like he was a freshman

Weather didn't help

No where to go but up after a performance like this

Not enough playmakers to beat Wis, PSU or OSU.

Think 8-4, 7-5 and nothing Bowl.

10/07/2017 - 11:20pm Dantonio

Got it exactly right, great defense, 5 turnovers, tough too overcome.

10/07/2017 - 11:17pm Calamity

Too little, too late. Our offensive players made no plays.

Where is Denard to Gallon when we need them??

10/07/2017 - 11:08pm Harbaugh has fixed everything but..

Finding a playmaking WB. Average QBs, but no playmakers or difference makers.

Shame to waste these great defenses.

10/07/2017 - 11:02pm Rich Rods offense

Was better. We lost because we had no defense back then, now it's flipped.

10/07/2017 - 10:58pm Horrible play calling

This is unbelievable how many plays are being wasted.

10/07/2017 - 9:33pm Play calling

Coaches not using him creatively. Probably afraid of injury, because with his legs M should be making MSU chase and defend him to slow down their LBs, help the O line and open up other options.

Bad play calling and game plan needs to be thrown out, not working.

10/07/2017 - 9:28pm More roll outs by Okorn

MSU in backfield almost every play. Got to let Okorn roll out and make RPO decision.

Too easy to defend right now, no run game cause we keep going inside.

State more physical and stunning our OL.

Last TO was a hustle mistake, Isaacs was bad, bad technique. Game has changed totally since that TO. A senior back should have had both arms in that ball.

09/16/2017 - 3:43pm Puttering offense lacks energy and confidence

Lots of missed blocks, OL not picking up blitzes, OC is expecting RBs to beat unblocked defenders which they cannot do, running plays designed to go directly into pile ups, tepid QB play, missed catches, inoppurtune penalties. I think they were shell shocked at how fast and physical AF defense was.

This group has potential, but needs more experience, needs a leader on the field and the O line has to pick it up.

Honestly, it looks a lot like a Borges/Nussmeier offense right now w/o the Gardner /Robinson turnovers.

I do think it will get better.

09/09/2017 - 9:58pm A win, but a troubling one

Some things are to be expected:

- A young team looked young and inexperienced, especially on offense.

- Despite it being the home opener, so much energy went into the big time match up with Florida, and subsequent over positive press clippings, this young squad looked past Cincy.

-Cincy had a handful of good players and a good d line who made plays(and almost made a few more!)

- our defense would play well

Some were not

- the offense would regress, as opposed to making the big " first to second game " leap.

- Speight has to be better, and, he has to LEAD this team. I am a Speight supporter, however, he has got to step it up a lot or we will be in struggles with a bunch of teams.

- the crowd was not helpful, there was no home field advantage after the first few minutes.

Lots of season and upside with this squad, but they have to learn and improve from what happened in this game.

09/05/2017 - 5:02pm All those NFL draft picks...

We're Hoke's guys. Not to mention Ryan, Henry and Glasgow. Probably missing a few.

Lay off Hoke. He just was not ready for a HC job like M, and, other than Mattison, did not build a strong enough staff.

He is a strong, ethical coach and excellent recruiter.

08/29/2017 - 10:36pm Frey, Drevno & Harbaugh will..

Pick the best five no matter what. Simple as that.

However, with so many new starters I expect some shuffling between number 5,6 & maybe the 7'th.

I expect hiccups against Fla because I would expect them to twist, stunt, and blitz aka Don Brown to test and rattle the new guys.

They watched the Orange Bowl tape and saw FSU befuddle an experienced line for three quarters. I expect Fla to try the same thing until Speight burns them a few times.

08/27/2017 - 8:12pm Agree

This jersey could work with blue pants with some maize accent, but an all maize, to me, will look bizarre.

While all different shades, Cal, Mizzou, WV , Oregon and Baylor have done the all yellow/gold/whatever and none of them looked better than the teams base unis. Just my opinion.

08/27/2017 - 7:54pm MEH

With what pants? Maize, white, blue?

Not a fan of messing with the best uniform in college football.

Just win.

A little surprised JH is doing this.

08/12/2017 - 11:06pm Ucla comeback

There was a big comeback game at the Rose Bowl in the early 90's. one of the teams Desmond was on. I think at the time it held the biggest comeback.

I was at the Harbaugh / Kolesar game. What a play.

01/10/2017 - 1:47pm Mobile app

Been spinning for days.  I assume there was a ton of traffic because of the Najee frenzy and Army AA game, but before I lost site, response times were horrible.

01/05/2017 - 11:18am Too much already

I hope he comes, he is clearly a very talented kid, but we have many fine recruits. If he passes on a full ride to Michigan, a likely starting rotation spot, an NFL coach, and, a Michigan degree, well, he just doesn't want to be here.

Michigan football will move on as it has for a long time. Those who stay will be champions.

Go Blue !

01/02/2017 - 1:48pm Good luck

Shane hung in and competed for four years. No bellyaching, good teammate and played through pain and adversity.

Go somewhere and start young man, you have earned it.

12/04/2016 - 2:59pm Filling the stands

No travel home game forUSC.

12/02/2016 - 11:44pm Moving on up

Wash may get two seed if they keep this up.

11/19/2016 - 5:41pm Just goes to show

Beating up on nobodies means nothing.

Very disappointing performance even if we pull it out. Cmon seniors.

Looking ahead? Iowa hangover?

I just think we have struggled with decent teams.

11/19/2016 - 4:14pm This offense

Is getting schooled so far. Forget Okorn, this looks like a Funk coached line so far.

Cmon guys, pick it up for your QB!

09/17/2016 - 10:48pm Work to do

Good come back win today. Lots of bad, lots of good. Colorado with starting QB good club, not ND or Ok.

Need to improve a lot and I think we will.

Best thing about today- this team was taught rankings mean nothing. They now know they have to get better( and healthy), yet still won a hard fought game.

09/05/2016 - 12:06pm Early season quality of opponents

I was glad to see that Wis and Colorado played well. I believe it will work in our favor to have teams that can push us. I have been worried the early season slate was too easy.

I still like us big over PSU and Colorado, however, they are clearly no pushovers and our O and D will be tested.

Wiscy shapes up to be a serious too 25 opponent. I think our O is much better than LSUs, however, Wiscy can play and, as always has stout lines on both sides. Unless they regress, that has now become a quality win opportunity.

So, no easy street, and, I think the team will develop much better emotionally and from a improvement perspective because of it.

09/01/2016 - 11:10pm SEC East

Still sucks

09/01/2016 - 3:24pm Move forward Penn State

It's been proven this guy knew all along what was happening since the 70's and chose to protect his assistant over victims. Yet, still the fan base is in delusional denial.

I can't believe the NCAA or Big Ten is not stepping in and saying " What are you thinking"

08/18/2016 - 11:00am Stupid is as stupid does

Fabricating on an international stage. Not good. Say bye, bye for life to your reputations swimmers.

Backs up many views that too many " amateurs" are pampered brats. Out all night partying? Wow, why are they there??

Really tarnishes USA team rep as well.

08/05/2016 - 1:27pm In Harbaugh..

We trust. He'll pick the right one.

08/02/2016 - 2:09pm Nice but..

I don't care what we wear. Just win and beat the fing Bucks.

04/20/2016 - 2:30pm Reality

One of my degrees is from EMU. I hope they keep football, but could justify moving to 1A or D2.

Just too hard to get people interested with AA and UM literally next door. So many commuters as undergrads as well. I went to Michigan games and visited friends at other colleges on weekends. Not to mention Detroit pro teams.

Too expensive and too many schools in DI.

EMU is one of many schools where students subsidize sports. Clearly, this has to be reviewed not just at EMU, but any school that is losing money and charging fees and higher tuition to support varsity sports.

State aid is a joke now for public universities, so money sucking varsity sports only compound the cost of education. One might even question supporting athletic scholarships at the DII level if the sports can't pay there or the AD can't support other required sports.

EMU competes well in other sports, and, I agree that Creighton is a good coach, but,

frankly, part of the football issue is a self fulfilling prophesy. What fans support losing programs? Not many, even schools with tremendous FB history like Michigan had big drop offs in support with a few bad years.

We would probably be surprised how many universities are in this boat.

03/05/2016 - 1:32pm QB

Glad Shane looked good. Watching some of the video clips from the week he seemed to have the least accurate arm of all the QBs.

I still expect Okorn to emerge, and, Speight is just a bug dude(and he can move pretty well, better than a guy like Navarre), but perhaps Shane is more determined.

Four days in, one in pads, probably does not mean much, however, I would think we should know the #1 or # 1 and 1A QB by spring game.

Harbaugh probably won't commit till game week prep at the end of fall camp. But, you never know....

02/21/2016 - 8:38pm Woolfolk

As the legend himself, Mr Ufer would say- Butch, don't call me Harold Woolfolk!

Now, he was among the greatest Michigan backs ever.

02/17/2016 - 12:21pm Wow

Great settings

02/04/2016 - 11:37am Bad timing

Whether Hackett was right or wrong, he just put Gary back in the media frenzy to find out who offered what.

Hopefully, this was not something said in confidence that is gonna piss Gary or his Mom off.

02/03/2016 - 4:29pm Holding one back?

In case of xfer?

02/02/2016 - 12:25pm Elliot

Can someone educate me as to whether Elliot officially committed to Texas? I know he officially decommited from the good guys, but has he picked a hat?

02/01/2016 - 4:32pm Recency ? Primacy ?

I hate that another school got his last official. The good things always are fresher in the mind.

I hope we get him, everything at M is lined up for him-immediate playing time, NFL proven head coach, NFL proven position coach, outstanding D coordinator.

Outstanding academic program and support system. Close friends embedded in program. I mean, this is why they call college football an arms race, these kids choices are unbelievable.

He set up his friend Dwumfour to be here, (let's hope MD is the second coming of Willie Henry irrespective of Gary).

It will sting if he chooses someone else, but we have a great class and will continue to improve and win big with Harbaugh and the talent we have regardless.

This program is going to be at the big boy table, I really hope Gary chooses to be a part of it, but I am not gonna feel any less confidant it he decides not to.

01/30/2016 - 8:09pm Harbaugh has assessed..

All the current walk ons this past season. That tells me there will be a lot of attrition in those ranks because the staff wants to up the talent level.

Someone posted that the 105 only applied to fall camp so perhaps there are guys who are down the scout team depth chart that, are not PWOs and don't go to camp, but are back on the field once semester starts.

01/28/2016 - 7:11pm Go Eaglets!

Keep bringing these PWOs, could be some diamonds with these kids that would otherwise probably go D2 or low level P5.

Finding one Kovacs or Glasgow makes this a very smart strategy.

01/28/2016 - 12:25pm Nose tackle possibilities..

Could Onwenu transition to be a possible NT?

Elliot was flaky, but good. He looked dominant at the UA game.
