Young man is killing it Has 2 sacks and just had a 3rd called back on defensive holding. Looks like he’s going to be a great addition to our D in the future!

I really miss the single February 15th National Signing Day.  It made an otherwise dead time of year for college football an interesting and exciting time.  Games like this were actually suspenseful (for the hat dance).

Recruiting was like a second mini-season, sandwiched in between the end of college football and mid-February when college basketball would heat up.

Now it is all anti-climatic. I didn't even know this game was on (or that they still even played it anymore).

It has to be killing the recruiting sites industry.

That was awesome!  But I feel that it went the way of the Dodo in the same timeframe that Harbaugh's competitive fire seemed to have taken a vacation after the 2016 OSU game.  It went away along with the verbal sparring with everyone that took a shot at the program.  It's like that game sucked the life out of his desire for football - until it hit rock bottom last year and rebounded with a vengeance this season.

I feel like this was the the 2016 season all over again, with a better finish.  The finish 2016 was supposed to have.  We have that coach back now.  Maybe without the attention grabbing headlines of satellite camps, twitter rampages, and Signing of the Stars.

I thought overall it was an incredible way to highlight the kids sending in the LOI's, but maybe nearly losing Rashan Gary made it a case of not wanting to be embarrassed on camera if a top recruit flips at the last minute. That first one was great for creating buzz around the program, but probably is something best left as a memory.

Well, our db's did pretty well against a fully operational death star.  We should be fine as long as we can generate some pressure on Stround.

Utah had a depleted secondary, including said RB standing in as a db.  But just as importantly, Utah had zero pass rush all game.  Even when they blitzed.  None.  Their defensive ends provided no pressure at all.

Another full off season and season of film and field experience between now and then. Not that our win is discounted because of it, but Stroud is only going to get better barring an injury. He will better understand our coverages and looks. Plus the game is in CBus. We will need all the help we can get to stop them again, especially with Marvin Jr looking like another superstar WR.

He didn’t coach in the bowl game and OSU has a lot of blue chip athletes for him to work with. If he can turn Oklahoma State into a top 10 defense, there’s a pretty good chance he can do it with the players on Ohio State’s roster. Hopefully it takes a while for them to adapt to the new system.

I think there is a good chance the offense will be substantially better next year. The receiver position, the tight end position, and the all important quarterback position should all be substantially better. Although there will be losses at the OL and RB positions there are also some really good returning people who should be substantially better next year. So those positions should be at least as good and there is a real chance they will be even better next year.

Would be cool if they wore their committed college helmets to easily differentiate who's getting a player that's making impact plays or simply performing well
