CC: Who Does Washington Hire?

With Kalen DeBoer all but signed in Tuscaloosa...who does Washington hire to replace him?

(FYI - I've already looked at their roster and their commitments...no one stands out as an obvious transfer candidate. Alabama seems to have more guys that Michigan has or would target.)

I don't see it with Moore. It would be a complete change in offensive philosophy and he's still extremely young at only 37 to be taking over a P5 program that just came off a CFP championship game. Their stock is at an all time high so they should be shooting for higher than someone who has been an OC for all of 3 seasons.

Especially considering Harbaugh would do everything he could to take Minter with him. There's just no one else. Thankfully, I don't think it's going to be an issue as Harbaugh is going to come back (along with JJ and Donovan). I actually would prefer Minter be the successor but the players and everyone wants Moore and who are we to argue with the players?

Probably no one that great. While Washington is gonna have that B1G money soon, it's still not that attractive of a job and Penix is out the door. I'd bet they're looking at 6-8 wins next year

What a kick to the groin for Washington. First they lost the national championship game, then their coach. Just goes to show you how quick fortunes can change.

Wrenching start to 2024 for the Huskies if this plays out. Made two perfect hires (Chris Petersen, Kaken DeBoer) in ten years, now have to make another one.

I know Matt Campbell has lost a lot of his luster the last couple of years (thank God Warde didn't listen to idiots like me who wanted him to replace Harbaugh after 2020), but he still has the best record of any coach at Iowa State since Earle Bruce left for OSU.  Pretty impressive to go 7-6 this year despite his QB &#1 RB being kicked off the team for gambling.

Jedd Fisch is probably the best available name out there. Otherwise probably one of our coordinators or one of theirs if they don't all go to Alabama.
