Yeah he just tweeted he is reopening his recruiting process. Another scholarship opens up, this one comes as a little bit of a shock to me. Good luck to him though.

IIRC Davis and Bush (EEs) along with Gil, Metellus and Chris Evans attended camps.

He tore his ACL at the start of his SR season, I believe. Was going to enroll early originally but did not.
One of the guys in doubt that would sign iirc.

Okay, this one really threw me off. All these decommitments do not give a good impression. Basically none of our summer swarm commits are going to end up in our final recruiting class.

Chris Evans is definitely being kept and I'm willing to bet Dytarious Johnson sticks because of the Prattville pipeline we're trying to build.

....but on the other hand many people "complained" that we were accepting too many three star recruits during these camps ("all your 3 stars belong to us!") and now are we feeling bad that many of these guys are going elsewhere and we are getting higher rated players? Many of those 3 stars did get more exposure because they did get a Michigan offer, and unlike Swenson I am sure Michigan was not their childhood dream school.

The lesson we should all be drawing, perhaps, is this. (A) Until we know all the details, it's really hard to know how to view a decommitment. And (B), we seldom know all the details.
So Imma withhold judgment for now. But sorry to see him out of the class - I was excited to see him play for Michigan.

and (C) Don't try to fit all the decommitments into some universal theory. It sounds like Michigan still wanted Richardson:
Meaning, I don't think this is a situation where his offer was pulled. Michigan liked him a lot.

I'm done with recruiting and agonizing, etc. I want to talk about players that play for Michigan. Harbaugh will recruit guys, coach them up, and they'll put on winged helmets and play. Nobody ever won a championship in February.
