I do think Bennett's a good guy and really have nothing against his program. I would have rather seen a shady program be the first #1 to go down. But it is wild to see history being made.

I'm just so glad I got to see this. Have the day off work tomorrow or I would have been in bed before this started. Truly one of my all time favorite sports experiences.

Virginia lost twice all year, both close games. They went 3-0 against Duke and UNC.
UMBC lost by 44 points to Albany.

This is why I watch March Madness. It is MAD. I thought Buffalo knocking off Arizona was the big upset of the first round - but this game is the upset of the Century. In this tournament you have to take everyone seriously. LOVED IT!!

UMBC is a local school. I know people who go there.
I didn't even know they had a basketball team. I thought it was just a continuing-education commuter type school.
I was filling out a bracket and I saw UMBC. "Is that the UMBC up the road? No, it can't be. In the NCAAs? No way. it must be some California school."

Both teams avg’d an insane 1.55 ppp last 12 min of game. Much of that at the end was easy buckets for both teams but at that 12 min mark UVA would have had to hold UMBC scoreless or .50 ppp to have a remote chance.
