Post your 40 time

Submitted by Hard Gay on
I just ran the 40 yard dash for the first time in my life. I was actually quite pleased with my time: 5.55 seconds Anyone else here want to share their 40 times? Hell, lets throw in all of the combine drills and see who would win and MGoBlog combines. Here are my results: 6'2" 162 lbs 5.55 40 time 0 225 bench press reps 24" vertical

Does it count if I'm on a treadmill inside a car while it drives 40 yards? That's running 40 yards, sort of. I could probably do that in a couple seconds. Also, can I jump off a trampoline to measure my vertical jump?

DVRs and during a football game, my guess is 3.2 without dropping anything. I have tossed an empty keg approximately 7 yards and carried a full one up 2 flights of stairs which seem to have served me better than a vertical leap.

Hometown: Birmingham, MI Rivals: Unrated Scout: 1*, #3,918 FB. ESPN: #5,899 FB, Account suspended due to inactivity Misopogal: "Stud" Height: 6'0" Weight: 215, projects to 225 after Barwisization 40-Time: Had to stop after 32 yards to catch breath Bench: Most likely Vertical: Can successfully stand as such Nickname: Beard hater, The Apostate Other suitors: Michigan State's journalism program YMRMFSPA: Trapper John McIntyre Notes: Never been successfully RickRoll'd. Pantless. Why Trapper John? Doesn't have the talent to even come off as a plausible option for a Korean War-era M.A.S.H. unit squad. And I doubted you would remember Scott Panique. Guru Reliability: Moderate. Not scouted by Rivals, but Scout and ESPN generally agree that he would be a liability in any level above the family Thanksgiving game, and even then, best used as a reserve. General Excitement Level: Low. Athletic ceiling somewhere between I.M. Broomball forward and the men's swimming beat for the Michigan Daily. Projection: If he ever steps foot on the field for Michigan, it's likely security won't be far behind.

HT 6'3" WT 220 40 4.6 BP 225 18x's Went on to play soccer in college. My playing weight was 180lb's but I always wanted to be big. Even though my weight was lean it still hurt me when it came to conditioning.

for a 12 oz bottle of Miller High Life, so i guess that makes it about 11 2/3 for a 40 OTOH, I can do a flying 40 in about 0.75 sec, in my car. [Damn speed limiters] Therefore, if I down that 40 oz of beer at top speed, that makes my average 40 time 6.2. That seems about right for 25 years ago. Which is why i was french horn in marching band, not DB on my 0-8 HS team

I'd be interested to know what I run. I think I'd be happy with something below 4.8, but I'm scared to find out. Did you time it yourself or was it part of a new workout or competition?

We ran 40s one year for hockey and I finished last, maybe around 6. Luckily, I was a goalie, so the coach did not care. I was quite impressive on the leg press however.

6'4" 230 lbs 40 - probably around 5.0 29 in. Vertical - This is a pure guess. I can dunk a basketball fairly easily but I haven't had my vertical tested since High School. I have no clue on the bench press number.

So this was about 8½ years ago, my senior season 5'11" 170 40 - 4.5 225 reps - 1 33" vert. (yes, I had - and still have, though not as good as then - pretty good ups for a white guy; could dunk fairly easily) Played WR and CB at one of the better football schools in Nebraska. Unfortunately I got hurt a week before our first game and was out for about half the season; was never the same after I came back and the injury still bothers me occasionally to this day because I tried to come back too soon. Thus I only got a few D3 offers while my buddy got D1's up the wazoo. On a side note we lost in the playoffs that year to the eventual state champs who had Barrett Ruud (starting LB for Tampa Bay now)on their team; guy was a frickin' monster and I really wish we had him on UM's roster right about now.
