I think it would be hilarious, but you never know. It could have been Nutt just trying to screw with the system and voting for someone like Mike Hartline or Ryan Mallet or something.

If you scroll down past the two videos Chris explains what he meant when he discussed Rodriguez's passing game earlier (the post you mentioned).
I don't know if that's exactly what he intended, but I was just mentioning that as part of the article. Edsal's a well-respected coach so it's interesting to see what he has to say, that's all sir.
I think there's also something of an attitude re-adjustment going on as well. I've talked to quite a few players lately and obviously they're going to be positive, but I absolutely love what I've been hearing, primarily from defensive players too.
Just to add an agreement; I think we'll see more of those "gashes" because the offense will be much more versatile this year. I think Tate's accuracy, plus his slippery speed on the option will work wonders.
Opposing defenses will actually have to make half-time adjustments because we won't be running gut, zone-read, and bubble screen plays in consecutive order because that's all the team can do. This playbook, when fully developed, is extensive and very dangerous.
The interesting thing is Nevada's pistol runs the same basic running plays that Michigan's spread option incorporates. The zone read, etc. It's essentially a veer-based run game, so I will be watching to see how ND can handle a running QB for sure.
His team plays in the 3A Division down in Louisiana, but that still doesn't answer the question. I know in some states the higher the division, the more students. While in Michigan Division 1 is the highest level.
I saw Bruno tonight.. only to return to watch the last two innings of the game. Boring indeed. I loved how they were hyping up Howard (playing in front of a home crowd) then he blew it big time.
“I know my profile isn’t as great as a lot of other kids’ around the country,” he said. “I know (Michigan) reached out there a little bit to get me. It’s not about proving anybody wrong. I just don’t want people up there to feel like I wasted a scholarship.”
Really great quote. I think this kid could excel not only on special teams but in the slot. Good writeup.
It's another line, he said multiple times he wouldn't leave Bowling Green, and the same with Utah. Personally, I can't stand the man, but I don't want to have to play him every year.
He did really well in the spring in regards to S&C, but has a lot of technique work to do with his play. Like Rorschach said a RS would be necessarily normally, but he probably won't.
I doubt he'll play like Martin did, but you never really know.
The funny thing is it will be just like Michigan's come 2010. Only we will have a returning starter (I assume). Gardner/Tate/Robinson/Jones and for them Newsome/Bolden/Jones. Interesting indeed.
He's really good athlete, I can definitely see him playing somewhere should the QB situation not work out. Along with the things he has to work on, I'm fairly impressed, hopefully he'll improve some before he gets here.
Thanks for the vid.
Personally I'd rather have seen Holliday or Casteel as the head coach.
Bill Stewart- "Let's pass the ball more!" Passing increases, YPG and PPG decrease. Yeah.
I agree with the OC/DC comment above. If English has solid contributors on his staff, then he can focus on recruiting and the intangibles. Robinson was a terrible recruiter, English is not.
The kid's been working on his speed this summer, but the pad-level will have to change (and it will when he gets to AA). The only reason he's not rated higher is because he didn't attend any camps this summer, but he's one of the best backs in Texas, there's no doubt.
One of the funniest things is when people talk about Utah they say "Hey they beat Michigan at the beginning of the season!".. It's like, yeah, they beat a 3-9 team, congrats.
It's difficult to really know the true reasoning behind situations like this.. If we could ask Rodriguez and his staff what they've got planned, I would love to hear them answer. But we, as a fanbase, have to trust in what they're doing, and hope it works out. Recruiting is so hit-and-miss it's too difficult to predict, especially when NSD is 7 months away.
You have to remember Ohio State is in on a number of players in Ohio... and it is also seen as a "down year" for the state in terms of football. Still, it's always good to recruit the state, there is a lot of talent regardless.
After growing up in Michigan I've had a hard time adjusting to the weather here in North Carolina. When football rolls around.. it's just really hot. And it stays hot, even once fall/winter hits we don't really get much snow or bad weather. It's not all that appealing to me, sadly.
People need to remember Grimes and Knight are and will both be hotly contested prospects. Like others have said it's July 5th and we have a long way to go, and these kids change their minds a lot.
However, I'm hoping a better season will help sway some of the higher ranked players we are waiting on as well.
Again, its all hype generated by newspapers and Dantonio. If we wanted to sit here and recruit Michigan all day, we would. Rodriguez has his coaches all working it, you can believe that.
The thing is, when you can get players from Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas (4 of the most fertile recruiting grounds), you do it. It doesn't mean the state of Michigan sucks or whatever, Michigan has just always done it like this.
The fact that we still have and are going after guys like Ricardo Millers, Prater, etc, means the vertical game will still be there. It has to be, otherwise defenses will treat us like they did in 08' and just put 8 in the box.
