What was it like watching the radio as a kid?  I'd like to crawl up on your lap and nestle my fuzzy little head on th crest of your belly as you talk about the golden years.  I'll fall asleep and you'll carry me to my bed and tuck me in as I dream about Tom Harmon dodging would be tacklers.

I see Michigan  getting stopped on a 4th and goal early in the 3rd quarter after blocking a punt and Washington immediately scoring afterwards to widen their lead

I see a Ricky Leach FINALLY turned loose by Bo and throwing the ball the entire second half (after the goal line suff by Washington)

I see a furious comeback by Michigan...something they NEVER do....bring them back within a touchdown with less than two minutes to go

I see Harlan Hucklebee dropping a sure touchdown on a first and goal pass with under one minute to go in the game

I hear the announcers discussing "would Bo go for two and the win?" if Michigan scored (hint - he said he would've)

And lastly I see Russell Davis, poor damn Russel Davis, taking a swing pass from Leach on about the 7 yard line with NO defenders anywhere near him but instead of catching it he decides to try and juggle the ball into the end zone and succeeds in getting it to land on his shoulder pad at about the 2 where a Washington defender said "thank you very much Mr. Davis I will take that ball now" and the game ended.

That's what i see.  Sigh......

You can be assured that it will first step on its dick repeatedly with crampon-shod boots, then shoot both feet off with a 12-gauge, then mangle its left hand in a lawn-mower, dip its right in a vat of hydrochloric acid, blow its teeth out with an M-80, blind itself staring at an eclipse, and then let a rabid dog chew off the remaining shreds of its trampled dick for good measure.

What else could the NCAA possibly be dealing with that they can't put a rush on this?!  I mean, the season starts in 6 months!

Sure, I guess they are about to kickoff the one event that accounts for 75% of their annual revenue. And I suppose that event is chock full of potential rules violations that has the friggin' FBI involved.  Maybe that's a distraction. And sure, Shea Patterson is only one of SIX players appealing.  But it's been 12 business days!!!  WE WANT ANSWERS YOU INCOMPETENT FREAKS!

This was outlined by Sam on WTKA. Ole Miss has the option to respond, and it is likely in their best interest to not give any response and just let the 10 days pass. Admitting guilt would be dumb for them. And fighting it would open a can of worms.
The only real news here is that the NCAA still has not initiated the official 10 day window. And that is even not a surprise.

You see, it's things like this sidebar that hold up the important work of this thread, which is wondering about the actual status of Shea Patterson and what the roadblocks may be in this process. It is for reasons like this in particular that wondering about the status of your points in threads specifically tied to estimates of our success is especially irritating.

Or something like that. All the same, the exchange rate between MGoPoints and actual community standing is bad on a good day.

The NCAA officials are probably too busy colluding with the Bball coaches and agents on how to sweep the recent FBI investigation under the rug. They are probably off right now so they can drink and gamble during the tournament.

So the NCAA can "clear" Miles Bridges in 2 minutes based on an MSU "investigation" but are incapable of making a copy of some papers and sending it to a university in 2 weeks. Cool.

But it's really shitty that Michigan hasn't found a reliable starting QB going into year 4 of this regime, and we are hopeful that the NCAA will not screw up something they normally have no clue how to handle.

You can't put yourself in this position.

We had good QB play in 2/3 years under Jim from unlikely sources that Jim coached up. I don't think anybody expected Wilton to break his back and then transfer, leaving us with a redshirt sophomore who has played in 5 games and a redshirt freshman who has played in none. I agree that I'd rather not have to rely on the NCAA, but the main reason for that is bad luck not bad roster management/coaching.

They are indeed douchebags. The underlying scandal makes that clear. But that fact was well-established long before Shea transferred to Michigan, so why should we find it bizarre that Ole Miss hasn't done something that they have no obligation to do as yet?

The villain in this particular instance is the NCAA, which seems to be dragging its feet on the simple task of passing along the package prepared by Shea's attorney to Ole Miss.

Don't these douchebags have anything better to do then holding up Shea's life simply because he doesn't want to be at that crappy school anymore.

Ugh.  You're just delaying the inevitable.  Now my party is going to be postponed.  The sooner I throw my points party the sooner I'll be gone for a while and all the shtick haters can have some relief.

The truth is that Ole Miss didn't get anything from the NCAA, yet. This whole damn issue could've been avoided had the NCAA done what it should've.

It's already been emphasized that Ole Miss isn't harming the pace of deliberations; the NCAA is. I'd like to read their (NCAA's) version of a reasonable explanation for delaying the official sharing of documents with Ole Miss.

It doesn't sound like Ole Miss is doing anything wrong.

The NCAA is the one that has to send OM the packet. That is what triggers the clock accorindg to NCAA rules.

OM isn't keeping anything at a stanstill. Unsurprisingly, it is the NCAA.

That Shea’s lawyer sent the appeal to Ole Miss as well to avoid something exactly like this happening. I remember Sam Webb saying this on the radio a few weeks ago.

if Jim Delany called the NCAA and told them to "sit on it".  He's still pissed Michigan won the his B1G party in NYC.  Fuck him ... he only wants ohio and sparty to control football and basketball.
