Don’t sell tickets to Buckeyes

Submitted by Coldwater on
This is the most basic rule in the Michigan-OSU rivalry. Do not under any circumstances sell or give a ticket to a red Katzemoyer jersey wearing Ohio State fan. We want as NO red in the Big House. Ohio Stadium is a sea of red during The Game. We need to make this as big a home field advantage as possible. No price is worth selling your soul as a Michigan fan

As of 4:30pm today there are 3,961 tickets available which is roughly 25 less than this morning.  Get in price is now at $100 and tickets in Section 1 (on the 50) can be had for less than $200 each.  Prices have come down almost 50% from Saturday morning and as long as the supply of available tickets sits at about 4% of the stadium capacity I expect prices to continue to fall throughout the week.

Sadly if prices DO stabalize and start moving back up it will be because there's been a run on ticket purchases that moves prices upward.  And if that happens I doubt it will be a result of all the pent-up Michigan demand.

and any other graduating senior deserve full support.  I don't care how entitled you feel to a better season or championship teams, if you sell your tickets -specifically to a Buckeye -for this game (and it's not because you will be homeless or can't pay for a medical procedure otherwise), then just walk away from our fanbase.

This is the youngest team in the NCAA.  Once again for the idiots in the fanbase that can't comprehend and continue to conflate the bad UM football we have seen for most of the past 15 years, and what we are seeing this year and just bitch about it - this is the YOUNGEST team in the NCAA.  They need all the support they can get on Saturday, not to mention how bright the future is.

We saw what Harbaugh can do with a loaded, talented, upperclassmen team last year - bad luck and shit reffing was all that kept them from the playoff.  Show up and cheer and make the recruits see how the fanbase is there through thick and thin.  The next two years will begin the golden era of UM football, and OSU will continue to regress - thats right (Meyer is currently at peak recruiting and full throttle and they are dropping games in blowouts) - as we elevate in to an elite program.

So don't fucking sell, stop being pussies, and go cheer for our boys.

Yes! Regardless of how this has gone, whether you're disappointed in this team, you don't think we have a chance, don't let them take away the home field. We have the largest stadium, this should be the loudest game every time we play them at home. Rivalry games are always played tough. Harbaugh hasn't slept since that BS call last year. We better believe we are coming into this game wanting it more than them. Everyone who has tickets go and do everything you can to make it uncomfortable for them and keep it loud all game. We need the 12th man. This game is too important.

I was in the stands in 1995 (freshman year) when we beat OSU at the Big House.  The place felt like a road game, but that made it all the more sweeter when we won the game.

I know OSU fans will buy up thousands of tickets.  I just hope the state troopers on the Michigan side of US-23 have a productive Saturday morning.

...in 1995. Still vividly remember the “Rose Bowl” signs being held by the cocky Buckeye fans. It was quite sweet to see their shocked and disappointed faces upon leaving Michigan Stadium that afternoon. We can only hope and pray (pray real hard, everyone) for a repeat performance this year. Go Blue!

When you sell online it's not like the computer tells you "ALERT! ALERT! BUCKEYE FAN!!! ALERK!!!!!" with a red siren flashing in your face.

red stands out. It's brutal having thousands and thousands of Buckeye fans in there, and if you don't think that affects the players on the field then you're lying to yourself

I was at the 2013 game where the stadium was mostly scarlet, and it really sucked. Especially when we lost in the end and they started chanting and bashing us Michigan folks. Let's geter done Saturday and make a sea of Maize and Blue!!! Go Blue!!!

You could go with a mess on your pants if you catch my drift. And then go and "accidentally" sit in their seats. Then when they're like "yo, you're in our seats" you can get up and say sorry but make sure they see your messy pants as you're getting up. And then say "all yours!"

Apparently I cannot start a new thread on this board, but I’m coming up to Ann Arbor with some coonasses to see y’all make the buckeyes bleed. I don’t really care about injuries, or the way your season “could have gone.” We plan to be sufficiently inebriated for game time, constricting our blood vessels to a point where temperature matters little. The wives and children are staying home, and since I’m missing LSU’s last home game for this, I don’t expect disappointment. Outside of that we really don’t have a plan. Hence, I found this board of northern degenerates, not unlike myself, and answered a random question to set this account up: “who is the fastest qb?”...which is rather obvious. So I’m here looking for simple advice....we’ll be at the game, but what should we do; where should we go before and after? Is it easy to get booze into the stadium? Geaux Blue! ETA: good luck in the b-ball game tonight

I was up earlier this year. I was surprised at the "security". It was literally "open your jacket" and that was it. I literally saw a couple frat boys stuff some containers which I assumed to be alcohol down their pants in front of what I thought was an employee who was standing near the front of the gate. They got in rather easily. Now, this being the o$u game, things may be different. somebody else want to elaborate?

Orgeron is doing fine. Cultural shift...and I’m not really concerned about the Troy loss. The offense is better without Miles at the helm. Bonus: I can actually understand the press conferences with Orgeron (ironic given the accent, but Miles’ press conferences were horrible) Is no one going to help me out with advice on Ann Arbor? Does the place suck that bad? Should we even come?

Bought tickets for my wife and myself on StubHub tonight. Those are two tickets that won't go to Buckeye fans! We will be there cheering for our team, come rain or shine or snow, no matter what the score.

Non-season ticket holder here, so maybe my opinion isn't valid - but the MGoForum if nothing else is a place for invalid hot takes, so...

I get that you as a fan will take little joy in seeing us lose to the cooler poopers in our stadium.  Again.  I watched the 2015 on TV and have a broken kitchen strainer to prove it and can't imagine how much worse it must've been in person for ye brave few who where there.  I get that.  I really do.  So, if nothing else, if the oddsmaker's prediction for the Game hold true and it winds up being an unfun experience for M fans..

By the love of all that's holy, AT LEAST DENY A TRAILER-TRASH BUCKHOLE FROM ENJOYING IT IN OUR HOUSE AND DON'T SELL *THEM* YOUR TICKET.

Time to fill your stadium and keep your athletics going with our Ohio money. You're welcome. Enjoy the Motor City Bowl.

I am a relatively new Michigan fan. I am from Long Island with a son who is a U-M senior. I have been to 6 games at the Big House in his 4 years, I love going there.

I was a NY Islander season ticket holder when they played at the Nassau Coliseum. You think being a Michigan fan has been tough the last few years, try being an Islander fan for the past 20 years! But I digress.

I totally feel what you are all saying. There was nothing worse than going to an Islander-Ranger game at the Coliseum and having half the building filled with low life Ranger fans. And that seemed to be what would come to those games. Assholes there to make trouble. I got to really hate going to those games, and it was 2-3 times every season. Not once every other season like this is.

Any time I could not go to one of those games I did whatever I had to do to make sure the tickets were in the hands of an Islander fan. If you can't go, ask everyone you know who wants to take the tickets off of your hands. Someone will. Do your part to keep the building Maize and Blue!

Does anyone have tickets for sell, have a group of 10-20 looking for tickets together or relatively close.

It always sucks to lose but it would be way easier to appreciate a hard fought and mostly close game without a fucking OH-IO chant in our own stadium every other year.
