Chaos in the B1G East
As long as Iowa keeps doing what they're doing and MSU pulls up the big upset, we'll have:
MSU with one loss in the B1G
OSU with one loss in the B1G
PSU with two losses in the B1G
UM with two losses in the B1G
However...
MSU and OSU still have to play each other
UM still has to play OSU
Bizarre and unlikely scenario, but what happens in the event of a 4-way tie?

MSU hasn't been "a roster full of 1 stars" since like 2009. His teams are typically almost exclusively made up of 3 and 4 stars. They're not elite when it comes to recruiting, but they're solid.

If Michigan is out why would I want OSU, MSU or PSU in? Fuck them, what is good for them is bad for us.

"It's a shame every team in our conference is so damn strong. We end up beating each other up so badly in conference play, that it looks bad to the playoff committee. They really should that into consideration."

1 division loss.
That would keep Michigan and PSU on the outside looking in.
Our only chance:
- Win out
- MSU loses at least 2 of their remaining games
- PSU loses at least 1 more game
Edit: I'm wrong in a favorable way for us. In a three-way tie with OSU, MSU, and UM, we would win because of sparty's loss to ND.
So really, we root for MSU to not win next week and PSU to lose at least 1 more game.
The odds of the latter happening are probably low, but ya never know.

*Hopefully* those days are over now that O'Korn won't be starting anymore and putting up Nick Sheridan numbers.

Compared to what....Alabama? Top down, B1G is the best conference in CF.

If M wins out with Brandon Peters under center, many people will be questioning Harbs sticking with O'Korn for the losses.
November 4th, 2017 at 7:09 PM ^
Peters should have started Game 1. We would at least be 7-1 and Peters would be a stud by now

Iowa about to lay a 50 Burger on the Nuts.

I don't see OSU holding back on the Hawkeyes.
This is getting crazy.
If only MD can down MSU.

No we're not. Those teams will have to lose against someone like Maryland or Rutgers still and that isn't going to happen.

So if osu beats msu next week we are a psu loss from controlling our own destiny? Sure seems plausible.

November 4th, 2017 at 7:15 PM ^
No because it would be a three loss osu and three loss msu all with 2 conference losses and the head to heads being osu>msu>mich>osu which moves it on to overall record which has Michigan going with a higher overall record.
PSU plays nebraska, md, and rutgers though. I don't see how PSU loses those games without even throwing a pass.

and PSU must lose at least one more time. MSU must lose to OSU.
tiebreaker in a multi team tie is 1) overall record.
both OSU and MSU would have 1 lose OOC, so they would be eliminated. If PSU and Michigan are still tied, PSU would win with head to head.
So the only real path is to
1. Win out
2. PSU loses once more
3. MSU loses to OSU
4. OSU wins non Michigan games
We must go into a tie scenario where we can win the first mutli-team tie rule outright, which means tied with MSU and OSU in conference but PSU falls out already.

Yeah, I think this is right according to the criteria. Michigan wins the East here.
