Well lets see where this goes as its just beginning. He says he's going to ruin Harbaugh. All it could take to make Harbaugh lose a recruit is Jacobs claiming Harbaugh said something racist or some BS. We'll all know its not true but you never know how it could impact a recruit looking at Michigan

I just dont see why he would come out of the blue and do this if he's not benefitting from it somehow.

Maybe he's suffering from mental illness

And I'm sure Harbaugh could counter whatever nonsensical BS Jacobs spews by bringing in the hundreds of players that enjoyed playing for him and seeing what they have to say about him.  I'm not worried about the ramblings of some lunatic who's pissed that Harbaugh never played him.

...he would come out of the blue? How about he just wants attention? As for...OMG...this could hurt recruiting, please. So we're supposed to be concerned about anyone who ever met Harbaugh and has a Twitter account may say something harmful? Really? With the zillions of Twitter users who post idiocy every day?

This is hilarious for Harbaugh fans and rational human beings.

Kinda tragic for Jacobs, though. We've passed Three Mile Island in the left lane with the foot on the gas and the hand on the horn, and Fukushima is approaching rapidly.

Right, a running back that couldn't surpass 1000 yards rushing in a season over his last 5 seasons, or even 600 in his final three, will get Harbaugh fired from Michigan. Good luck with that one. Based on his wiki entry, the last thing of any possible relevance he did was show up to Impact Wrestling in February of 2012.

Lots of yards or not, there isn't a person alive that will convince us he's a bad coach and so much so to fire him. my assumption here is that Jacobs will claim something unrelated to coaching: racism, abuse, affairs, drugs etc. I still don't see that rising to the level of firing, but you can't say, "maybe he said something racist, but your rushing totals sucked so.. "

Frank Gore on Harbaugh: "He's my best coach. I didnt enjoy here until we started winning. Since he's been here, I've been winning"

Why are people giving this loser so much attention? Not trying to be thread police but this didn't deserve its own thread. Non story, I hope everyone can move on.

Because it's funny. Honestly, the facts-only thread title made me crack up.

If guys were actually annoyed at him, I agree it would be a bad look, but there are threads that are two days old (including my 16-response one about cycling) still on the FP and this is kind of a point-and-laugh in the middle of offseason. I'm ok with it.

Sounds like you are being the Thread Police.

It's not as if this message board thread, where the vast majority of posts are mocking Jacobs, is going to somehow catapult this to the lead story on ESPN and front pages across the nation.  Come on.

Plus, it's the off-season. Just look at some of those other threads. A 5* de has us in his...top 9. A post asking advice on visiting Big Ten stadiums. Everyone has a special dog, which...okay. A post titled, simply, "Bennigans" which I'm not opening because life is too short. Given that selection, I don't see the problem here.

And the loudmouths at First Take or Undisputed will give it to him. First question they should ask is not "what do you have on Harbaugh?", but "why are you going after Harbaugh out of the blue?" "What did he ever do to you but give you a chance to continue to play professional football?"

Let's say for the sake of argument that Jacobs is right... Harbaugh can't coach. He can still assemble the best damn coaching staff around and bring results. His record speaks for itself. He's won everywhere he's been and he's turned around programs at every turn. Good at coaching or not, Harbaugh has a formula for winning that he has damn near perfected. Now obviously I'm under the firm belief that Harbaugh is a damn fine coach and his football knowledge far surpasses that of Brandon Jacobs. "Haters gon' hate," and all that.

Who found himself unable to place the name, Brandon Jacobs, to anything? Retitling this bruhaha "Random Internet Dude Tweets Bad Stuff About Harbaugh" wouldn't have made much difference to me. Once I found out who the guy was, my next thought was, "Huh."
