Canada is next to legalize, U.S. needs to follow suit.

New study out today says 61% of Americans are in favor of legalization.
I know someone in the industry and he says that nearly 50% of his retail customers are over 55. I think it depends more on political affiliation and geography than age.
The study actually came out a few weeks ago and while it shows the demograpic breakdowns on those who were a part of it, it doesn't show the percentages of who are in favor of legalization but I don't disagree with you at all in terms of the age gap in it.
The percentage of those in favor of legalization keeps growing everytime a study is done though so the gap is widening and I think that the "case study" put on in Colorado is moving people towards widening that gap even further. Even just the tax income windfall for the state is enough for more States to put it on their ballots.
EDIT: The more I think about it, I don't think there is much of a difference between ages or income but moreso of what political party you closer identify with.
Pretty sure that's 5% higher than last year. It will continue to rise to probably 2/3rds of the country favoring. All I know is the Michigan roads/infrastructure and school programs could really benefit.
sadly, they probably won't see a dollar from it.
If the state of Michigan legalized it in the next year or in a couple years, where would all the revenue go? (serious question)
then if there is anything left over, ho hos and twinkies.
But how many congressman/women have tried to table a serious debate about this? %61 of the population and, 0 politicians? Is it still 0? I know a few years ago it was like %55 and literally 0. DEMOCRACY!!!!

I DO miss getting high. I miss the sound of music when high (always awesome), the taste of food when high (also awesome just never enough of it) and I miss jokes when high cause everything and everybody is hillarious. And i miss sex when high.
To be clear sex is always awesome but if memory serives it's especially awesome when high.
I smoked a TON of pot from 1975-1981 but I think the last time I got stoned was about 15-20 years ago.

Random drug testing at work. And I like my job.
I'm guessing airline pilot. You can't be an MD because that would be in youy username.
And Hi-Lo drivers don't usually have wives that look like yours.
Part owner of a company that produces a medical device surgeons use and we support the cases intra-operatively. Random drug testing is in place for everyone (me included) and if somebody comes up dirty they lose their credentialling and access to the OR.
Not worth it so I'll just reminisce and take shit from you guys for being a pussy.
An employed pussy but a pussy none-the-less.
And I'm not even going to call you a pussy.
Should the rules change in your office, be careful. The quality of the weed today vs. 20 years ago is mind blowing (no pun intended...sort of). I don't think shitty weed exists anymore.
About five years ago they ordered up random suprise on the spot drug testing for an entire facility out of state. The results were they had to fire about forty percent of their staff the next day according to company policy.
The gap in production while they tried to restaff and train the facility almost sunk the entire company.
The new current drug testing policy now excludes marijuana from the panel company wide.
I am a company owner and my policy is this: Do whatever you want at home. It is none of my business as long as it doesn't affect your work. Don't bring that part of life to work with you and in return I will never drug test anyone. Never had an issue yet (knock on wood). The most successful people around me smoke (including doctors, professors, bankers, engineers, other business owners, etc) or drink or have some other vice. None of us are immune and the people who are usually most comfortable in their own skin aren't that concerned about such things. To each his own.
Never done it, and now that I work in the aerospace industry, probably never will.

... until it became legal here in WA. I recommend you visit.
You're killing me. I'm in WA. Unfortunately, I work for a company that still drug tests, and because they have locations all over the country, they won't make an exception for us. But my wife can enjoy occasionally. Really helps her sleep.
But I did get high
I did listen to good "Chill" music on Sirius
I did have great sex
And now I'm eating a damn good fudgsicle (okay four, they're the small ones!)
I feel happy....

... every day is 4/20, and it is glorious. My alcohol consumption has gone way down, I feel healthier from it, and it is SO MUCH cheaper to occassionally use one of many forms of weed available than it is to even have a few drinks.
April 20th, 2017 at 12:56 PM ^
A much better alternative than boozing, but it's still not a "healthy" thing. Inhaling smoke is never good for your body.
You must have done some other things in your life to help with your health.
maybe he is referring to the brownies
He could have lost 100lbs by switching from booze to weed.
Also, vaping is the cool thing to do now. No smoke.
They also sell MJ infused baked goods, candies, and even pop!
about weed as a whole there
about weed as a whole there
It, you are still putting a narcotic into your body.
Hey, I'm all for it if you enjoy it, but don't try and sell it as some super healthy thing to do like you are inhaling a chicken breast with green beans.
is NOT a narcotic, no matter what DARE told you.
Were all wrong.

Cheaper it is. You can buy a quality 6 pack of beer for 10-12 bucks.
Not sure how much cheaper weed is. If it's less, you must be buying some pretty nasty shit.
But again, I don't know much about it so if it's worked in your life, flame on.
... I buy a case of mints (one example of an edible) that has 30 mints for $35. 1 mint is all you need for a nice long slow buzz that last 5-6 hours. That's ~$.20 per hour of buzz. Not going to get that through alcohol in an enjoyable fashion.
The math is similar for other forms as well -- including concentrated or joints. And when it's legal, the quality is abundant. I can get a grade A joint that would be good enough for a group of 4-6 people to be delightfully stoned for an evening for $10-15. I've given up the days of drinking Mad Dog, so not going to be able to beat that price.
its like the crack cocaine of weed. One good hit and you go from sober to the highest youve ever been on weed in 3 seconds.
I would say its a full day of heavy smoking all at once, and takes about five hours to wear off.
