META: MGoBlog HD iPhone App no longer supported?
I wondered if anyone else has this same issue. I just tried to pull up the MGoBlog HD app on my iPhone and it is telling me that it is no longer supported. Anyone else have this same problem? I know there was a stretch recently where it wasn't working at all, but it had been working just fine lately.

The functionality might mimic what's possible from your desktop (laptop), but the "user experience" on a mobile device is dramatically better when using a well-designed app.

well that rules out this one.

To be fair now that the majority of phone screens are greater than 5 inches then the browser version indeed seems more appropriate. Back in the day though an App version helped with the constant pinch/unpinch to zoom that was needed on a 4 inch screen.

Can MgoBlog just buy the HD app? I will contribute. The person who owns it isn't gonna make any money anymore anyway. The official app is baaaaad.

Mine did too for the first couple of replies to this thread, but I couldn't post anymore from it after about 4:15 or so.

Soooooo who wants to start a kickstarter to pay for the app (or provide enough $$ so the ad revenue lost from the other app is negligible and brian allows it to exist)

minus the hot tub.
Website that crashes at the slightest provocation, and no mobile presence to speak of.
It's 1997 all over again.

Dangit. The HD one was a revelation last month when I found it. It worked way better than the current one. Add me to the list of people that would pay a few bucks for a good app.

But this kinda sucks. My time spent on the blog will decrease significantly if the original app isn't improved.

Well, Brian commented on technical issues only to point out that perhaps its smoothest, most technologically advanced feature is kaput.

There goes any chance of getting mobile updates on Signing Day.

I suppose you could always check the main site - 502 and 503 are crystal balled to the MGoBoard, or so I hear.
In all seriousness, I would love to see updates one day, especially something that would make modding easier and a little more precise.

who are good Java Script and OIS programmers. It would seem kind of easy to create a good mgoblog app for both application platforms. Or at least revamp the website to make it more mobile friendly.

Especially disappointing on Signing Day Eve.
As with others, I'd happily pay for access to a functional app frontend to MGoBlog that put money in your pocket.
Emphasis on functional.

Never used this so called app.
