2018 Focus gets up to 40MPG highway

2018 EcoSport gets up to 29MPG highway

While SUV/CUVs are leaps and bounds from where they were a decade ago a 10MPG difference is significant and will drive commuters to 'imports'.

Buy the car you can afford and all that but 0%//72mo is pretty hard to argue with.

I'm assuming more so since OP said they are looking for a larger vehicle which in todays parlance means crossover/SUV.  Have you looked at the prices of used Escape/Edge/Explorers lately? If you can find the right deal then buying new makes sense in a lot of cases with rates where they are at.

Friendly request; let the pro's do their job but please do not let them go overboard with new and edgy design elements.

I'm sure everyone has visited SI.com or MMQB within the past year and a half and their initial revamp was atrocious to navigate.  It's gotten better but still needs improvement IMO.

Simply put; people like to consume content from a newest to oldest format.  Making them hunt all over the screen to find the Wednesday column is a great way to drive readership to another site.

To be fair now that the majority of phone screens are greater than 5 inches then the browser version indeed seems more appropriate.  Back in the day though an App version helped with the constant pinch/unpinch to zoom that was needed on a 4 inch screen.

I say this with no snark but when a Top 50 player says that they are just "coach speaking" their way out of a question and giving the reporter a good sound bite.  If it were true than Stanford would be pulling in Alabama-type classes year in/year out.

01/16/2017 - 8:36pm The number of comments

The number of comments questioning Wheatley and his love of Michigan are ridicioulous. Take of your Maize colored glasses for a moment and just think that maybe he likes the NFL game more than college.  Wheatley does not owe Michigan anything and if you really want to get down to brass tacks I highly doubt he would advise his son to attend UoM if he didn't have his best interests at heart.

Not to mention the fact that assistants with upward mobility are something we have no recent history with.  This directly plays into the recruiting game when JH can say X # of assistants are now HC or in the NFL.

10/13/2016 - 6:18am Being pedantic but the Mason

Being pedantic but the Mason was not attacked with "ballistic missiles".  Ballistic missiles, as the name suggests, utilize an arching flight path (i.e. ground>space>ground) to reach their target as well as being powered by gravity during the terminal guidance phase.  In short; what every was and still is afraid about being used to deliver nuclear weapons halfway across the world in 30 minutes or less.

The Mason was attacked with anti-ship guided missiles which are launched and actively guided towards their target.  Additionally, ASM's are under power for the entirety of their flight and can make adjustments on the fly or be programmed with different attack profiles.

Just a little PSA but if your out of contract and paying $120 your doing it wrong.  Literally call and say that you would like to cancel and you will get an automatic $10-25 off/mo.  I have the base package (i.e. only watch TV for sports) and my bill has been between $50-60/mo for over 2 years.  Essentially @ that price point the convenience factor trumps the additional $10 savings that a Netflix/Sling TV/Amazon type set up would have.  The best part is that I would seriously cancel but if they want to continue playing "let's make a deal" then sure, I'll stick around.  :)

College jersey's have never had names on them? They've always followed the EA model of "Player #16 who just so happens to look like that guy who plays QB for Michigan and has dreads".

IIRC the NCAA found themselves in a pickle with Johnny Manziel as a search of his name brought up his "officially licensed apparel" despite their claims to amateurism/not selling apparel of specific players.

Finally, preferred walk-ons are in a better place to earn a scholarship but in football it normally does not happen until a player’s junior year. That’s because giving a walk-on a scholarship after his freshman year still uses one of the 25 initial scholarships for that year. A player has to be on the team for two full years before they can get a scholarship and not have it count like an incoming student.

The short answer is; not many do.

The medium answer is; Entry Level Position-Must have 1000 years experience, College degree required, must be able to flip a light switch on etc. which kind of negates the first argument.

Unfortunately, the fact is unless you network and/or have a hook up your chances of finding a *decent* job straight out of college are slim to none.  Best to bite the bullet, take a *shit* position, try to move internally from there and/or use as springboard to land original position with desired company.
