USC overcomes a 4 minute (-21 point)  shit show and a lot of luck PSU, pulled out a nail biter.  Tough loss for PSU and they played well.  Had a lot of good luck and calls to.  Darnold is one cool customer.

saw some D from USC at end.  Had we won the Orange Bowl in comeback fashion, I would say Orange Bowl.   Totally agree about Darnold.   He is one cool cat that can throw dimes on the run.  Let's hope we have Najee, our incoming stud receiving core and great defense together if and when we play USC again.  Happy New Year.  2017 going to be a good one for the Maize and Blue.

Hahahaha such poetic justice. That was a classic Franklin choke job. What was even better was that they lost because of their ridiculous throw up a prayer offense. USC used it against them on their last drive and PSU gave up back to back PI's. Then to hoist up that pick to set up the game winning FG was epic.

Our loss and Penn State's were great close games - I don't think the conference is hurt at all - well, other than the Buckeyes shitting the bed

Who cares? I just don't buy this "conference prestige" shit. Just win games. I care about nothing but UM's wins. I have never cares about the Big Ten's record in bowl games. I wanted PSU and OSU to lose so badly. I am glad they did.

in their back yard without Peppers and losing Butt in first half.  The Clemson FSU game was quite the battle this year 37-34 Clemson.   Northwestern beat Pitt, Minny beat WSU, Indy almost beat Stanford.  The only egg laying was done by OSU, who did not earn their way into the playoff on their own.

Christ Almighty guys.

Shame on you and the those who upvoted this.  This is repugnant.

I hate PSU football and everything that happened too, but using language like this in this way, or the "Ped State" stuff is unbecoming, and a fan base that prides itself on consisting of more enlightened human beings than others shouldn't tolerate one bit of it.

Obviously, for me as a Penn State fan, that was a true "gut punch" loss.  It's no fun to trade punches with a heavyweight, to be winning after 12 rounds, and then lose on a 15th round KO.

But I can already come to terms with it (the younger version of me would be bitter for a month, ha ha).  College football certainly produces some memorable games.  This was one of them.

3 of those were by a total of 5 points. It really doesn't mean shit with regards to "conference superiority". You had Iowa playing the SEC runner-up. 6-6 Indiana playing a Top 20 Utah losing by a point. Northwestern playing #23 Pitt and winning. UM and PSU losing in the last 30 seconds to Top 10 teams.

The only embarrassment was THEE Ohio State University.

officiating problem and/or we get Najee.  Big 10 won a natty with OSU just 2 years ago.  Morevover,  Michigan is going to be a top college football power for as long as we have Coach Harbaugh.  That will help the conference big time.  Wisconsin has a good program as well.  If Michigan is elite, conference will be fine.

I was trying to make some reference to where PSU had the horse shoe lodged all night, but I can't even make the reference because, you know, PSU is a disgusting place where phrases have a disturbingly literal meaning.

What a wonderful way for penn state to lose, even better than getting blown out.  They had it in the palm of their hands (or at least a chance to go to OT) and franklin goes all mork "we play to win" diantoni and has his qb loft 2 passes in the air vs. giving it to their 200 yard stud running back.
