08/04/2018 - 9:59pm Warinner was not the highest…

Warinner was not the highest ranking official at OSU.  The head football coach at OSU is.  Warinner did not have hiring and firing power. The head football coach at OSU does.  The head football coach at OSU can basically do anything he wants short of firing the school president, and even that is debatable.  Anyone remember when E. Gordon Gee said, "Let me be very clear. I'm just hoping the coach doesn't dismiss me."?  The head football coach at OSU does not need to wait for his "boss" to get rid of a bad dude on his staff.  He has the power to do that on his own.  The idea that Meyer was powerless to do anything about Smith other than make a report to his boss is ludicrous.

He learned from the best.  He was Tressel’s henchman for three years.

Urban was aware, but not fully aware.

07/25/2018 - 9:51pm Wow.  This thread shows just…

Wow.  This thread shows just how far out of touch I've fallen with this blog.  I've never even heard of Mineral King.  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

07/18/2018 - 12:26am Stop awarding seven points…

Stop awarding seven points for every "goal" scored in the NFL and you would end up with an average final score of roughly 4-2--the exact score of the World Cup final.

Used to be a 10 times a day man, regardless of what month it was.  Now I check in maybe once every 2-3 days.  Reasons for my decreasing frequency include, but are not limited to the site re-design.

04/06/2018 - 12:27am I’m not sure whether the

I’m not sure whether the commentary was biased, but I do know the ratio of ND band shots to U-M band shots was about 20:1.

03/27/2018 - 3:59pm It’s not. There’s always

It’s not. There’s always going to be a person willing to pay $1 more.

Rick or Richard? The Twitter photo shows Richard.

02/22/2018 - 9:13pm This was the payoff

This was the payoff for us getting to keep Partridge. At least that’s the way I prefer to think of it.

01/11/2018 - 7:31pm Keep your friends close...

...and your enemies closer.

01/09/2018 - 11:14pm Hose fucking job

Instant replay has ruined sports for me. Why is a drive at the end of the game scrutinized frame by frame just because it is the end of the game? I’ve seen that play 1000 times before and it’s always offense ball. Those seconds should not be any more important or valuable than the opening five seconds of the game. Just fucking ridiculous.

01/09/2018 - 7:00pm Or the delicious misery

Or the delicious misery Alabama would be mired in if the RichRod hire had been consummated.

01/09/2018 - 6:48pm Overblown

Everywhere he goes, somebody’s supposedly out to get him. At some point you have to identify the common denominator.

01/06/2018 - 1:10am Obligatory CSB.

Obligatory CSB.

01/05/2018 - 12:48am Poor innocent RichRod

It doesn’t matter where he goes, somebody is always out to get him.

01/03/2018 - 7:57pm If by machine you mean a Ford

If by machine you mean a Ford Pinto, I’d agree. Mediocre coach that caught lightning in a bottle in a second rate conference. Game has passed him by. He’s done.

12/24/2017 - 8:10pm People need to stop using the

People need to stop using the Lions as a benchmark for comparisons.

12/14/2017 - 7:38pm So WD, do you see Blue

So WD, do you see Blue regaining control of the series this year, or can we expect to see the Maize winning steak continue?

12/13/2017 - 10:09am Sorry

I hadn’t finished gargling with Drano yet this morning.

12/11/2017 - 6:13pm It kills me that they are

It kills me that they are turning it into the NFL.

12/05/2017 - 12:56am Not sure about that

Amaker's pretty mediocre, but Ellerbe is certainly among the worst three coaches in the history of U-M hoops.

12/04/2017 - 4:04pm This is actually a great

This is actually a great point. Is aspiring to look like Woody Hayes really the look we’re trying to go for here?

11/27/2017 - 9:59pm Thanks

All I could figure is that he meant Columbus, but this makes more sense.

11/26/2017 - 9:01pm I agree

You are.

11/26/2017 - 9:00pm If anything, I would think losing would make it more difficult

If Harbaugh leaves now, he leaves U-M as a loser that couldn't defeat OSU/Meyer.  Doesn't seem like that would be in his DNA.

11/26/2017 - 8:57pm So, it appears Schiano had

So, it appears Schiano had these negotiations on his mind during the week leading up to The Game.  Should we be upset that we couldn't do more against their defense or does this merely explain why we were able to do as well as we did?

11/25/2017 - 5:38pm Starting to worry that Don

Starting to worry that Don Brown’s D is the Rich Rod’s offense of defenses. Great against crap teams, but not quite up to snuff against the good ones. The continual late game collapses are worrisome. At some point, a great defense goes out and just wins a game on their own.

11/25/2017 - 5:13pm The punting was not well

The punting was not well done, nor has it been all year.

11/24/2017 - 5:01pm There's one sure fire way to shut haters up

Unfortunately U-M hasn't been able to figure it out going on 20+ years now.

11/24/2017 - 4:52pm It's hard to do inexplicable

It's hard to do inexplicable shit without the proper mindset.  Michigan are a bunch of fatcats.  If there was ever a team that need to play with a chip on its shoulder, shock the world mindset, its Michigan.

11/24/2017 - 4:45pm It's probably been at least

It's probably been at least 22 years since something unexpected has happened against OSU.

11/20/2017 - 12:01pm Sucks

Hopefully U-M has a moment of silence for him before the game on Saturday.

11/19/2017 - 9:54pm Um...

Four interceptions against a mediocre 6-4 team that hasn't beaten you in your house in 14 years is pretty much the definition of beating yourself, but hey, don't hurt yourself when you fall off your high horse.

11/19/2017 - 9:43pm You're right

Michigan's poor play has absolutely nothing to do with it.

11/19/2017 - 8:49pm Facts are facts

I like Navarre, but facts are facts. He threw four picks against a 6-4 OSU team that was not only led by a first time starter, but hadn't won at Michigan Stadium since 1987. At 12:00 pm on that fateful day, Jim Tressell was nothing more than a small college coach who seemed to be in way over his head. By 3:30 pm that day, he was a Michigan slaying god that delivered on his guarantee. Michigan has never recovered from that psychological shift in the series and Navarre's role in that shift cannot be discounted.

11/19/2017 - 8:30pm Craig Krenzel made his first

Craig Krenzel made his first career start that day.

11/19/2017 - 7:42pm Hate to break it to you, but...

John Navarre basically started this downward spiral, playing a major role in turning Ohio State into the juggernaut that they are today with his abysmally bad play in the 2001 game. Jim Tressell achieved god like status for delivering on his "guarantee" and Ohio State hasn't looked back since.

11/18/2017 - 8:51pm Mindset has to change before

Mindset has to change before the results can change.

11/18/2017 - 8:39pm I've see this movie before

U-M football is Rocky Balboa at the beginning of Rocky III -- a bloated, soft champion living the high life and celebrating past glories that gets beat down at the hands of a more hungry challenger. Until this program (and fan base) changes its mindset and begins acknowledging that they're not a top dog anymore, nothing is changing anytime soon.

11/18/2017 - 8:24pm Time to get over last year

Time to get over last year buddy. Dantonio obviously did. You can say 3-9 until you're blue in the face, it's not going to change the fact that Dantonio owns U-M. Not only did he beat U-M once again, but U-M is looking up at him in the standings per usual.

11/18/2017 - 7:22pm 10.5?

Get in on that action early. It'll be up to 17.5 by the end of the week.

11/04/2017 - 11:11pm Good teams make their own

Good teams make their own luck.

11/03/2017 - 12:17pm Cut a hole in the roof and

Cut a hole in the roof and retrofit it with a sliding roof using the money you had earmarked to build a new stadium and you might have my support.
