UF's Tabor: "Michigan wasn't that good, just well-coached"

Submitted by Wolverine Devotee on

Florida's Jalen Tabor, better recognized last New Years Day as a burnt Christmas cookie due to chasing Michigan receivers all day, saying Michigan's 34-point win over Florida was just solely due to being coached well.

Yeah and I don't see them catching FSU anytime soon. They do have dudes at the skill positions right now, but they could be Muschamp leftovers I guess. Calloway is a darn good WR and they're gonna have 3 DBs drafted this year, but we might start to see McElwain's recruiting shortcomings as the depth chart starts to turn over.

he reveals what we already knew, UF is poorly coached.

Also, their athletes had no business being on the same field with Michigan. They should have played IU or Northwestern if they wanted similar compition.

That's just what I was thinking.  We certainly do have some good players now, but IMO not as many as we're going to have.  Hoke's recruiting dipped toward the end.  Once Harbaugh has a full cycle of talent, that "well-coached" team is going to be scary.

That said, Florida was at best similarly talented, not better.  There were some high upside NFL players on that roster, but also plenty of mediocrity by comparison to past Florida teams.  They didn't have much to speak of at all on the offensive side.

Media dude adds another tweet that says:

"To clarify, Tabor was suprised Michigan was as good as they were. Added they were even better due to their coaching."

I think that when Tabor says "wasn't that good" I don't think he is trying to throw shade. He means he didn't think we were 34 points and a mudhole stomping of their asses in the state of Florida good. And probably that he underestimated us because slow B1G team SEC blah blah balh. And just maybe, he has an opinion of the Gators that may have been just a wee bit over inflated.

I remember watching the bowl game, and the announcers said re: their QB's running ability, something like, "he can run like the wind... they're not going to use that because that's not what they want to be as an offense, but boy can this guy run..." And I was like yep, been there. Thanks Coach Nuss...

This year's Thorpe winner, Adoree Jackson, is a junior, the same class as Tabor. The other two finalists were seniors and did not win.

Last year's winner, Desmond King, won as a junior and was not even a finalist as a senior.

Tabor wasn't a finalist for the Thorpe Award, but may get nominated for the Playa Haters' Ball.

Certainly refreshing to hear after some of the later games under Lloyd when teams seemed to know exactly what Michigan was going to do.

Dude you got your ass kicked in every imaginable way. Our "not very good" players made you all look like a bunch of chumps. You looked a freshman scrub.

Honestly you're just insulting yourself. If we weren't very good, but just well-coached, then you're neither good nor well-coached.

41-7 you bitter little chump
