More Sparty Crying about Chris Frey
Chris Frey's father is upset at the officiating rather than the likelihood that his son played with a concussion without even being checked by MSU for that under concussion protocol.
"Instead of asking questions about our MSU Training Staff. Why don't you start asking the B1G about a targeting review that they skipped."
Right, that 15 yards and ejection for our specials team's player may have lead to a difference in outcome, just like Riley Bullough.

Sure, he's right about the missed targeting but saying that it's more important than his son's brain is absurd.

but I'm gonna guess that his brain isn't overly important

Yeah, I get that, just a sparty kind of comment. We make fun of Brandon (and should) for his 1 am statement that Shane Morris suffered a mild concussion. But he didn't blame Minnesota and/or the officials

Conner Cook's dad was a thing. A racist thing.
November 1st, 2016 at 8:15 AM ^
Same example I thought of for "bad Spartan dad".
To put a finer point on your observation, you left out misogynist and xenophobic. Conner Cook's dad is a racist, misognynist, xenophobic thing. And there's not a whole lot of distance between the oak and the acorn, so far as I can see.

How smart can the dad be as he let his son go to staee and play for mork!!!

What can you say? We played 60 minutes of unnecessary roughness.

As long as we are examining penalties retroactively, let's discuss "Roughing the snapper."
October 31st, 2016 at 9:07 PM ^
On which I think he was penalized for a separate late hit, not the attempt at breaking Denard's neck.
October 31st, 2016 at 11:12 PM ^
Or the low hits that took out David Molk one year. Or the chop blocks on Mike Martin as well.

I'll take my victory in 2001 that was swiped by creative timekeeping, thank you very much.

If the officials aren't going to call anything, why not play over the line? If they were held to "normal" standards like every other team most of these offenses would have never happened.
November 1st, 2016 at 8:03 AM ^
I'm pretty sure the left guard made contact with the rusher before he hit the snapper, thus making it perfectly legal.

there were more penalties against us and missed calls that went in Sparty's favor than the other way around in this game. It's the least they could do after last year's targeting.
November 1st, 2016 at 1:21 PM ^
Why don't we just trade this year's non-call on Bush with last year's BS call on Bolden and be done with it?

As long as we are talking about tageting calls that weren'i called. Darboh was being held up by 3 guys while another guy comes flying in with the crown of his helmet and nailed Darboh in the solar plexis area I know it wasn't his head but he could not go down because he was being held up so I call that defenseless. You could see Darboh talking to the official after that hit. I am sure he was asking where was the targeting call on that one. I felt that hit.

Weak. little brother is weak.

but "targeting" has been a huge nightmare. It had good intentions and all, but everyone cries when it gets called and missed. It really is not working.

Frey, like all the Bulloughs, looks like he grew up in a double wide. Am I right or wrong in assuming that?
October 31st, 2016 at 11:27 PM ^
Old man Bullough - Grandfather age must be the outlier here. The other half of the family comes from the Morse family of Muskegon. Actually the Bulloughs started here as well. Jim Morse, super wealthy ND grad was the blocking back for Paul Hornung the year he won the Heisman. Was pissed his son Jimmy Morse, Muskegon Catholic, like him, of course, did not get a ND offer so accepted one from State and was the blocking back for Lorenzo and then went on to a 7 year NFL career and I' m sure most of you remember - those old enough - his kickoff return for a TD against the Lions. Lot of football in that blood.

"100 days until y'all get locked in the woodshed" 100 days prior to the game.
Maybe his father should have had his son's head examined then.
