had great teams in NAIA Div2 / NAIA especially in the 90s when they won/split 2 national championships. Since they made the jump to NCAA DII its been a struggle.

but since I was on the 1992 team, I do. I was just making a point that sometimes moving up divisions is not the best option. You can attract better recruits being the king of a lower divsion than dwelling in the cellar of a higher division. At any point, you seem like a swell guy, perhaps you should seek some therapy.

It was actually 3 national championships!

I get the sarcasm, but wouldn't that be impossible even if by some miracle they were FCS next year?

You know Jim Tomsula was the winningest 49ers head coach for a week....

Our bye week will make it worse when GVSU wins this weekend and we're off, dammit to hell man!
October 13th, 2016 at 9:20 PM ^
percentage goes up faster...
edit: Dear Lord, I'm starting to think like WD!!!
October 14th, 2016 at 1:45 AM ^
That win percentage is still impressive regardless of only playing 500 games.

Lower number of total games played allows each win to tick the percentage up higher

It's science!
Er, math!

They have less games played meaning every win they get is worth more than a win Michigan gets. The more games they get, the bump in percentage gets smaller and smaller. They must have been really close to Michigan's winning percentage entering this season already

Grand Valley State University has the highest winning percentage, regardless of division that is.
Sorry, but I prefer to regard the division.

Impressive accomplishment I guess..oddly it doesn't move the needle for me

Just when we thought there weren't any more school to whom we could apply the #RealRivals hashtag, we have....Grand Valley State University.
It's a good thing they set an arbitrary minimum on the number of games played in the school's football history too, because god forbid we give the honor to those assholes at the University Of Mary Hardin-Baylor, who have a winning percentage of 0.826 but played a mere 219 games.
