It will be close for the first half, but that's it.  This game will be our coming out party so to speak.  There will be no more "does Michigan deserve to be ranked #4" talk after Saturday.

Then again, I've also begun to think that we might blow out OSU too, so it's entirely possible that I've lost whatever shreds of my sanity were left.

His logic is exactly what I have been telling my UW friends all week. Sparty shit the bed more than Wisconsin destroyed them. Wisconsin hasn't seen a D that's as fast as our or an offense that is as dynamic in both phases...and that's not even saying anything about our special team. 37-13 MICHIGAN

The lock of the year was the -16.5 spread (at kickoff) for last weeks PSU game. You won't find easier money this season.Glad I capitalized on it!!!

with Michigan.  First he hates us (or Harbaugh).  Then he likes us.  Now this.  Whatever.  He might actually be right.  But, I hate to see any potential bulletin board material for Wiscy a few days before the game.

Cowherd is an idiot who is wrong a lot about most things so being on the same side of an argument as him is a bad place to be.

On the other hand I watched the msu wiscy game on big ten in 60 and don't think wisconsin looked that good (or msu that bad but that is another weeks problem) so I don't disagree with him.

Cowherd is a Harbaugh fanboy now, ever since they had that "make up" interview.  He has gushed about Harbaugh/Michigan after Harbaugh was nice to him.  He even dressed as Harbaugh for Halloween.  Unlike Pawl, he knows there is more to be gained appeasing the empire than opposing it.

That's too bad for you as it was an outstanding analysis because he did cut right through the PC crap and put into perspective U of M's, MSU's  and Wisky's performances this year, the result of which points to a massive Michigan victory. You really need to get of the frothy stuff and sober up enough to enjoy some quality takes from Cowherd.

that Belichick will be replacing Tom Brady as the New England quarterback within the next year for mostly economic reasons and for the future of the Pats and that Lane Kiffin at Bama will be the new offensive co-ordinator of the Patriots in order to get another chance as a Head Coach in the future.

Cowherd's difficult job is to keep people engaged instead of changing the channel. So he's over the top and controversial? Big deal. Feuillitonism at its peak, Hermann Hesse might say.

Pare it down to the essential message: he says Michigan beats Wisconsin on Saturday by a wide margin.

I have no problem with that!

Cowherd is just like Skip Bayless and Paul Finebaum. They go it for the clicks and discussion. Little of what any of them say is based upon sound logic, they do it to stir up the group who opposes what they are saying. A post like this is exactly what they want. "No press is bad press"

Well we certainly are built to stop teams like this. Wisconsin's offense does not concern me, but Speight needs to find a way to keep the chains moving against their defense. Say what you will about LSU and MSU being overrated: they found a way to contain Leonard Fournette. I don't care who you are: that's damn impressive.

Wisconsin is probably going to take away our run game, or at least largely contain it. So this game will very much fall on Speight's, Butt's, Chesson's and Darboh's collective shoulders.

Michigan should win but it won't be a slaughter. I'd love to see that, but it won't. Two powerful defenses...gonna be a somewhat low scoring game...low scoring based on Michigan's past performances this season, I mean.

Although I find the man despicable, I can't say I don't agree with him. Wisconsin is just the latest in a number of college football teams who are buoyed up in the rankings by beating over ranked opponents. Michigan by 3 scores.

I agree also. I just don't see the talent on Wisconsin's offense to hang in this game. Their defense is good but the talent on offense is lacking. I also think from a pure match up stand point this favors Michigan. Our offense is going to have their toughest day yet but defense and special teams will blow this game wide open.

This game feels a lot like last years Northwestern game. There was so much hype about their defense and that it very well could have been an upset for us. Wisconsin's rank is inflated a bit and I think a big trouncing is in order.

Bad weather favors Wisconsin. Can't remember the last time Michigan was able to run the ball between the tackles on a team with a legit D. Penn State is turrible so they don't count. Thanks for giving them bulletin board material Cowturd.

I can't remember the last time that an opponent was able to run the ball between the tackles on our defense at full strength from a pro-style offense, either. I wouldn't be surprised if both run games are shut down, which means that it's up to the other aspects of the game.

We have a huge advantage in special teams, due to Peppers, our punt block unit, and our senior kicker (even if he's not 100%). Wisconsin is probably playing a backup kicker who missed an extra point last week in his first significant action, and has no comparable return threats.

In the passing game, I trust Harbaugh to come up with a few wrinkles that work, even in bad weather. And I trust Brown to come up with a few defenses that will fool Wisconsin's freshman QB and give us some big play opportunities.

It might be a messy game, but I think we have a good chance to run away with it.
