Injury Timelines (Positive News)

Submitted by umbig11 on

Already some good news this morning. Mone (crutches), initial return to the field was looking like week 6. That is moving up to week 5 and possibly sooner. Taco (no cast, no boot, no crutches), maybe sitting one week and at most two.

Because you NEVER know how a new coach will do in a specific environment. I thought when MSU hired Dantonio it was beyond average and he'd pull them into even further levels of shittiness. It just worked out well for them.

If Les Miles was the coach for the past decade at Michigan and he managed to raise the levels and bring a national title, none of us would be upset at all.

is also the issue for LSU that they need to know exactly who they are hiring and have a plan going forward.  There was a time for Michigan fans when we said "ANYTHING would be better then Lloyd Carr."  We found out there were many, many things worse than Lloyd Carr.

Is the land of re-treads. People that fail out will land somewhere else. That's why Steve Sarkasian just got a job. These guys, no matter how poorly they do, will ALWAYS have a home somewhere.

Heard on the radio the other day that Art Bryles had multiple offers from good Division 1 programs to take the head coaching job. How gross is that?

Has anyone seen UMBig11 and Brian together in the same thread?  Starting to wonder if this isn't the big guy's nom de plume to release info here that he wants us to know but isnt suppose to tell us.  Either way you give us some fantastic stuff.

Kidding (not kidding) on the whole Brian thing.

I think what they should do is rehab as best they can and dress Mone for the PSU and/or Wisconsin game if he can play. Then if the game is in hand don't play him. At that point we've got a easy stretch for the schedule--Rutgers and a bye week to rest/rehab those guys even more. I'd use them for the Illinois game for a bit just to get them used to game action again then pull them early assuming we have a couple of touchdown lead. Then unleash the hounds full force for MSU.

To play a substantial load at 1-tech over the next few weeks to rest/protect Glasgow. Dwumfour can play in short spurts. Hurst has added bulk since last year and can fill the void against the weaker teams but it would be great to get him fully healed and ready to attack at the 3-tech.

This is great news, all things considered. It may actually turn out to be a positive. Get some younger guys some meaningful reps, and get these two DUDES back in time for some tougher games down the line. I like it. I do think UCF will give the D a good look at tempo this weekend. I'll be very interested to see how they respond.

Would be great. But if he's not ready after all in time for them in week 5, I'd just sit him vs. Rutgers too and make sure he's 100% after the bye week. We need him at full strength for the second half of the season, and not vs. our dangerous rival in Rutgers.

Would be great to see Mone back for the PSU game ... I know they're not likely to be a huge challenge, but I also don't think they'll be a cakewalk, so it would be nice to be at full strength. I feel for Mone in general and I hope he can stay on the field.
