This thread would make Hawk Harrelson blush. I'm no Caldwell or Quinn guy (yet), but ruddock was a very solid 1 year fill in for UM. Not some multi-year starter here. So let's see what happens with him before the ever charming "lions r so stupid cuz they cut r guy" hot takes reign.

Literally nobody outside of the echo chamber of this board thought Rudock was good enough to make the Lions roster. Reports were all overwhelmingly negative about his chances. Sometimes this place is too much for me, good lord.

Unfortunately, Orlovsky isn't eligible for the practice squad which leaves Rudock to be cut. I'm assuming they know he will clear waivers. This is the Lions and obviously that means they could have no plan and are just winging it, proving everything I just said to be wrong. Oh, then there is Jace Billingsley.

CJ retired from this tire fire of an organization. I did not like Quin when he would not fire Caldwell who is one of the worse coaches in the NFL. Rudock has more upside than Orlavsky but Quin wants to return the Lions back to a sub .500 team like they have been during a majority of their existence!

Anyone else see Rudock on the Michigan sideline yesterday?  He flashed on the TV screen at the end of the game he was celebrating with Deveon Smith I think (been drinking).  He looked really happy.  He was wearing a Lions shirt though...I wonder if he knew at that time.

Just another weird example of Lions sticking with guys out of loyalty instead of performance or potential.  Orlovsky has a body of work and it's not good.  Could Rudock really be worse than Orlovsky?  And, frankly, does he have potential to develop?

Lions throwing away a 6th round draft pick ... Caldwell is awful and so is the Lions organization.
