That this can be asked in…

That this can be asked in all truthfulness is another reason JuH is done at Michigan whether Warde sees it or not... This is exactly what opposing coaches are asking recruits! Why would any of them come and play for JuH?

This is the part of the…

This is the part of the reported story that bothers me the second most*... It appears that (literally) everything was done to protect JuH ("wow, that's some zero-tolerance policy your operating there"), including (as you put it) "benching" Sanderson. You wonder if things would have been different if Warde had been in JiH's corner like he's apparently in JuH's...

*The thing that bothers me the most is that the culture of our Bball program is now such that incidents like that underlying this one (players having a run in with training staff to the point that another coach must step in and the head coach taking sides against his own staff) can occur. Not to beat a dead horse, but can you imagine anything like this with JB teams?

Cold and gray outside,

Cold and gray outside,

and in the gym--my thoughts, too.

Warmth of years past fades.

~~

Stark contrast to joy

of New Year's bliss. Still cherished.

Held as goal for all.

~~

But are pieces right?

What does future hold? Change?

What should future hold?

~~

I know my answer,

but I am not in charge. So...

wait and hope for Spring.

Swung by the site this…

Swung by the site this morning, per usual, got an error like I do when the site is busy... wondered WTF is going down in the world of Michigan athletics... eventually got through and wasn't surprised at all. UFR dropped. One for the ages.  Good shit--GREAT shit, Seth! Now to catch up on all the work I put aside....

Older SI article about…

Older SI article about Cullen making changes in his life... For his sake alone, regardless of any potential affiliation with Michigan, I hope things are as SI presents them. https://www.si.com/nfl/2018/10/10/joe-cullen-baltimore-ravens-coach-dui-arrest-detroit-lions-alcoholism-recovery-naked-wendys-comeback

Whichever base, the…

Whichever base, the difference is that Sherrone Moore will know it, understand it, appreciate it, and be appropriately humble about it. Oh, and he won't turn out to be a piece of shit whiney loser.

Over the scope of the OPs…

Over the scope of the OPs timeline (multiple decades, perhaps approaching or exceeding a century), is this "cause" or "effect"?

I suspect that many of us…

I suspect that many of us would be pleased to see the level of coverage of the men's vs women's teams switch for the rest of the season.

Would you take a look at …

Would you take a look at "Could we frame Juwan for the Stalions thing and solve one problem with another?". Unnecessary, not informative, ad hominem attack, negative for negativities sake... Just don't think this is board-appropriate / board-worthy. Thanks!

Misses the joke, triple…

Misses the joke, triple posts. Not a great morning for this guy.

ARE there MSU fans that didn…

ARE there MSU fans that didn't go there? ...and if so, what exactly is wrong with THOSE people??  ;-)

Do we call that a "Natty…

Do we call that a "Natty Lite" around here now?  I'll show myself out.

And what a glorious OT…

And what a glorious OT season it's going to be ... a CHAMPIONSHIP OT season.

Ummm, I've got enough…

Ummm, I've got enough football games to enjoy rewatching (again) to keep me occupied for some time.  ....Don't you?

Love this! Kind of goes with…

Love this! Kind of goes with the Muppets in my house. It's great to be a Michigan Wolverine!

I had to zoom in to see them…

I had to zoom in to see them, but hats off to you for spotting them!

We love you, man! Enjoy…

We love you, man! Enjoy every minute of all of this--especially being with the kids... and, oh yeah, sure, playing for the Natty!!! We've all got the shakes waiting for our next mgoblog fix... To paraphrase Harbaugh, you guys supply some "good shit" on here!

I can't help but thinking of…

I can't help but thinking of Lando in Empire Strikes Back.... Now JH has players failing classes? "This deal is getting worse all the time."

Extensive quoting from paywalled article on public message board... yep, username checks out--and now with a hugely appropriate avatar!!

Georgi"ass"... I see what…

Georgi"ass"... I see what you did there!  :-)

Great news, Seth... and an…

Great news, Seth... and an awesome shout-out to "The Michigan Difference".  Hell, yeah.  How do the kids put it... "It's great to be a Michigan Wolverine!"

Too much chicken, and not…

Too much chicken, and not enough steak and whole milk, I suppose!  :-)

From all of us readers, no…

From all of us readers, no worries... It's a great write-up, but I'm not sure any of us were just itching to dive into the analysis. At this point it kind of feels like we all know the story of JH teams, and are resigned to poor defense, poor free throw shooting, relatively weak shooting overall, and just enough offensive flashes to almost convince us that there might actually be something there. Here's hoping as JH returns to the helm he can figure out how to develop towards more compete players and teams...

Hoo, boy... 65% from the…

Hoo, boy... 65% from the stripe as a team. Woof. Let's how they can overcome that.

Call me old school--and I am…

Call me old school--and I am--but I love the classic--iconic--blue over maize. That said, it's never about what you wear, but how you wear it. Here's hoping there's tons of white jerseys celebrating in the end zone and in Iowa's backfield!

Absolutely freakin' famous…

Absolutely freakin' famous last words... I pray we don't find out--with respect to the game, or AI.

Yes, I come here because I'm…

Yes, I come here because I'm a Michigan fan, and it's a great place to get a large amount of Michigan content, and yes, to a man, the team here puts out quality writing chock full of quality insights... but, truthfully, "Under Further Review" was, and remains, the core reason I return to this blog time and time again. To my knowledge there is nothing like this anywhere else on the internet. They are amazing individually, but take a look at last year's UFR for TCU, look back over this season.... Seth's comment about "data driving conclusions" isn't bullshit, and it's not patting himself on the back. It's the TRUTH. Watching on Saturday, rewatching during the week, contemplating over the months of the season and the off-season, all of these are richer, more rewarding, and more enjoyable with MGoBlog's UFR on the horizon or up on the computer after the fact. Thanks Seth, thanks MGoBlog team... As Harbaugh himself would say, "Good shit, Seth!"

Damn... impressive. Any idea…

Damn... impressive. Any idea of this kind of thing has happened before? Hard to check, I'm sure, but gotta be pretty unlikely... every starter recognized?

His name is Petitetittie,…

His name is Petitetittie, people. Get it right. Also, yes, he may lack the self-awareness to be embarrassed when he has to hand the B16--nix, B14--nix, B10 (whatever) trophy to Harbaugh, but even an MSU grad should be able to read the financial tea leaves.

Plus one for Cry'n Ryan…

Plus one for Cry'n Ryan. Nice.

Not the way we wanted Zak's…

Not the way we wanted Zak's last appearance in Maize and Blue to end, but he'll soon be part of the growing list of excellent M alums playing OL on Sunday!  Thanks Zak!! ... Now to win three more for the Z-man!

OSU fans inconsolable that…

OSU fans inconsolable that Day not scooped up by A&M.... "How could they not want our loser of a coach???"

He won't be told on a…

He won't be told on a conference call with them... His head is down between their legs so often, there'll be no need for a conference call... Unless that's what the kids are calling it these days...

Here, here! Worthy--and…

Here, here! Worthy--and earned--fucks given!

Win for Zak! Win for…

Win for Zak! Win for Harbaugh! Win for honor and glory and Michigan!

Reminds me a bit of '97…

Reminds me a bit of '97... bend but don't break. Today the two picks were obviously huge... I'd prefer they were able to lock down on the quick passing game a bit more, but there's no arguing with the results--one thousand and mother fucking one.

Couple of missed…

Couple of missed opportunities on offense re: play calling, but one thousand and mother fucking one... hell, yeah, we'll take it!

If we can't have John Cooper…

If we can't have John Cooper as Ohio coach, then I'm perfectly happy with Ryan Day.

Part of it is the feeling of…

Part of it is the feeling of helplessness as a fan. I never feel it more powerfully than on the Friday before the game. And boy do I feel it on this Friday, of all Fridays. So much truly beyond my control to alter, or change, or influence. So once more, on The Game Eve... it's a mantra because it's true: It's great to be a Michigan Wolverine. Go Blue.

Double post checks out.

Double post checks out.

... Just checking: So your…

... Just checking: So your take is that Harbaugh should be suspended for allowing his recruiting staff to hire a low level guy, and ex-Marine, who, without his or anyone else in the program's knowledge, used his own money to take video of Michigan opponents, which may or may not be in violation of an NCAA bylaw aiming to save football program's money? Harbaugh's error was not being able to see into the future and prevent his underlings from hiring a guy who would eventually, secretly, seem to violate an NCAA reg? Do I have that right?

So, wait... WTF? I thought…

So, wait... WTF? I thought the only way to get the right play call on was to have stolen the other teams signs? NOW you're telling me that simply watching video of how the other team plays allows you to design an entire gameplan tailored to exploit the other teams tendencies??  LITERALLY, WHAT THE FUCK?  Somebody get Tony Petitetitties on the fucking phone!

Let the lawsuits fly!

Let the lawsuits fly!

My god they hate Michigan…

My god they hate Michigan. 4pm the day before a huge game? Just pure hatred. For what? Some low level fuck outsmarted himself by a million percent? Do they really believe whatever Stalions did affected games? If true, how? If it did, it could only be by going through coaches... so saying he affected games is saying that a coach with input on play calling knew that some guy knew too much about the other team's signs.... Which coach was that? This is bullshit. I'll never understand why so many people just pure hate on Michigan--including their own conference.

Of course, it's an amazing study on how well Michigan players are prepared and able to focus on the football. As Michigan representatives, I expect nothing less than complete professionalism from them... and a huge beat down of Ped State tomorrow.... Oh, yeah, did the B1G ever punish Ped State for the raping and pedophilia? Asking for a friend.

Finally, a good idea from…

Finally, a good idea from the B1G... they *should* pay Michigan a significant fine as penalty for their ass-hattery in this matter!

Exactly my question!!

Exactly my question!!

Perhaps the first MGoBlog…

Perhaps the first MGoBlog double post I've felt was actually worth repeating. Well done.

Weird dude or not, let me…

Weird dude or not, let me just say I'm old enough to respect the hell out of the fact he does his own stunts. I mean, I'm over here wishing I had a stunt double to mow the frickin' lawn for me....
