On the one hand, you're right about the other coaches. On the other, Freeze has got to be the least popular coach in the conference. The blatant cheating makes the rest of them look worse and he's been stealing recruits (and victories) from the likes of Saban. Coming down hard on Ole Miss could be a better PR move for the SEC and NCAA than a slap on the wrist. They do care about PR.
oh good, he'll have more time to spend with his family then. or was that another SEC hillbilly coach? I can't keep them all straight.
