OT: 2016 NFL Draft Day 2 open thread
The second day of the 2016 NFL Draft is under way. What kinds of crazy things will happen tonight?
Two guys with injury question marks are already off the board. Jaylon Smith (Notre Dame) was picked by the Cowboys, and Myles Jack (UCLA) went to the Jaguars.

select Christian Hackenberg."
You're welcome.

Why New England? They've got Brady (obviously) and Jimmy Garopollo. Obviously, they need more depth at QB, but I think they'll bring in a veteran (maybe Brian Hoyer) rather than bring in another young QB with a relatively high draft pick.
I wouldn't be surprised to see New England take a QB later in the draft, but not in the 2nd/3rd round.
Being a Bengals fan I'm happy with first 2 picks. They've been nailing the draft last several years, just need a new coach.
I like the Lions pick. They seem to be focusing on the lines really well.
Hackenberg being a 2nd-rounder blows my mind. He must be much better in workouts and talking to coaches than he showed on the field.

I guess. He just seems like way more of a project than you'd like in the 2nd round. But then again, Mallett went in the 3rd round and...oh, nvm.
A kicker in the 2nd round!?

Hackenburg went before Cook.

NFL fans: "LOL A KICKER IN THE 2ND."

College fans: "Solid pick yo."
Jesus Christ OSU... We better destroy them next year. No way they're the same after losing all that talent!

A placekicker got drafted in the second round.
to Cleveland?
Cook to the Cowboys?
I'd rather see him end up in the shitshow in SF.
Have a shot at going in the third?
Henry is more likely...a mid 3rd to early 4th. Glasgow is more like a mid 4th to mid 5th.

I think a big part of it is position. Centers are naturally valued less than tackles, which is why you had Stanley, Conklin, and Tunsil go ahead of Ryan Kelly. Glasgow also had a fair share of pre-snap penalties, and he's had off-the-field issues.
awwww, poor cook, poor miller.....
Is now on the "Best Available" list.
so far? did you track any of these kids before college or during their career?
April 29th, 2016 at 10:06 PM ^
I tracked a lot of these guys overall coming out of high school, but I didn't really pay attention to A'Shawn Robinson back then.
I was a big fan of Taylor Decker in high school, though. He was an Ohio kid who committed to Notre Dame at one point before flipping to Ohio State. He was a kid who I thought could have started for several years at Michigan. As things stand now, I like the pick for the Lions, but I can't help being a bit bitter that I'll be rooting for a Buckeye.

It's a crap shoot at this point. Maybe Kendall Fuller if he's still there, but I don't know if he will be.

When Calhoun was drafted, guy on the NFL Network called him "Mark Dantoni."

RCMB is going crazy over the media's campaign to destroy Cook's image. Because of course NFL teams listen to what reporters say about a kid's character.

Can any of those morans at rcmb expalin how on earth does a 2 year, senior starter for a "winning" program not get elected to be captain??? It would be one thing if they were last place in their conference, but when you win how does this still happen???
