OT: 2016 NFL Draft Day 2 open thread
The second day of the 2016 NFL Draft is under way. What kinds of crazy things will happen tonight?
Two guys with injury question marks are already off the board. Jaylon Smith (Notre Dame) was picked by the Cowboys, and Myles Jack (UCLA) went to the Jaguars.

I like the pick, but I would have rather have had Jarran Reed. A'shawn would have been my #2 choice
That worked out well for the Lions considering many draft pundits had the Lions considering him for their #1 pick.
Lions have little depth at WR. Lions desperately need another pass rusher at DE.
Ansah is just one guy. You can find DB talent anywhere as well. Lawson and DIggs were day three guys and both played well last year.
at 95th. Fuller isn't going to make the team and Jones has a lot to prove. Lions also need another DE or LB.
Smart. DT was an absolute need and they filled it. Now they need a DE, LB, S, and WR.
There's Spriggs...I think he's going to be AWESOME in the NFL.
At one point I had the Lions taking Robinson in round 1 and Spriggs in round 2.
Great sports weekend...a lot going on, and plenty to watch tonight.

Fortunately for us, it means we return a bunch of talent rather than we suck this time around.
There are a lot of teams that will be weaker next year. If we can figure this QB situation out, we're about to live up to that preseason #3 ranking.
And next year I think we have two in the top ten overall, with as many as five first rounders.

But I could also see Taco Charlton blowing up in his final year. He was quite raw coming in and he has improved every year he's been here. If he puts it all together as a senior, he could put up double digit sacks. It's not unusual for great pass rushers to fly up draft boards based overwhelmingly on the strength of their final season. Lawson and Dodd from Clemson are both guys who hadn't done too much before having great years in 2015.

I've read there are still concerns about his shoulder and his meh accuracy in college, beyond whatever personality "issues" might exist. It's surprising he fell this far into the 2nd round, but it's not like he was a sure-fire 1st rounder beyond a couple of hyperbolic columns during the early part of the season.
