Feel The Strength

My gut tells me that if he doesn't know now, he's not going to know by Wednesday. This has the making of a NSD holdout. However, Gary doesn't appear to be the type that relishes in all this attention though, like some NSD hold outs have in the past. Hopefully my gut is wrong here, I'm ready for Wednesday to come so that we can go back to our regularly scheduled lives.

I did not actually. But Pryor wasn't a consensus #1. And I wasn't saying that it never happens, just that it seems highly unlikely that a kid who's been praised and supported by the entire recruiting apparatus for the past few years would do this.

Well aren't you a barrel of sunshine?

Can't believe I am responding to you, but I meant "it will never happen" (in Gary's case) in the first post, and "not saying it never happens" (at all) in the second. Clearly I was incorrect because I didn't know Clowney waited, but still--all that vitriol for that?

Later Edit: Nevermind--I looked at your post history and you're always that pissy. Just one long wall of complaints and attacks on fellow UM fans for posts you deem unworthy without any of your own original thoughts.

Is Rashan going to do a Christian Wilkins (DT from Connecticut) who went ot Clemson last year and started as a true freshman.

Is Rashan just trying to set up some suspense since everyone was saying that he is going to michigan.

LOL! Internet/social media has made recruiting a stressful process.

I don't ever remember ever being this anxious and nervous about recruiting prior to the internet years.....my word time sure has changed.....and now I feel old just thinking of the past years.....life sucks.....screw you internet recruiting!!!

LOL!!

What's funny is that Michigan insiders explicitly said that there would be a wave of optimism coming from the enemies' side immediately after his visit to Clemson (even predicting a brief surge of Clemson ballz which somehow hasn't happened yet), and that Michigan fans shouldn't lose their shit over it.  And yet, predictably, here Michigan fans are losing their shit over it.

The meltdown is somewhat hilarious. My theory is that mgoblog is partially to blame. There are few, if any, college sports related blogs that are as good as this site. It contributes to the passion for recruiting and UFRs in the readership that partially causes these boards to blow up on every piece of news or information that gets out on to the Internet.

for football games.

No easy flights from Newark to anywhere near Clemson.  Really, Clemson is a tiny town (population 14,000), and very remote.

Almost all the flights from Newark, NJ, to Greenville, SC, require a stop and a plane change.  Almost no non-stop flights.  Total travel time can be more than 6 hours.   And then there is a car ride grom the Greenville airport to Clemson that will take another hour..

Newark to Detroit Metro, and then a short car ride to Michigan Stadium, would make it a lot easier for Ms. Coney to see her son play on Saturdays.

Just sayin'...

...unless you consider a 2.5+ hour drive after a flight to be easy.

And remember, the airport in Atlanta is on the southeastern edge of the Altanta metro area, which means Ms Coney would have to first fight through Friday evening Atlanta rush hour traffic before taking I-85 to an exit 12 miles south of Clemson, SC.

Huge PITA.

For some reason, I have never thought Gary would end up at Michigan. With all of the connections at Michigan, and the fact that his Mother likes it here, that he is still undecided, tells me a lot. I think he really likes Michigan, but has always believed that something better was out there, and he may have just found it.

He's made 2 visits to Clemson that were like 9 months apart.  Meanwhile, he's been to Michigan like 5 times, including a couple of weeks ago on his own dime despite the fact that he probably saw everything the campus and school had to offer by then.  His 2 best friends are going to Michigan.  Every insider believes Michigan's the pick (or at worst it's 50/50).  But his last visit to Clemson was enough to sway him?  I don't buy it.

I've been playing NBA JAM all day and all I've heard are conflicting reports of "BOOMSHAKALAKA" and "HE'S ON FIRE!", so I can't honestly say which way Gary might be leaning. I'm going to check in on excitebike later and see what's the scuttlebutt.
