I thought academics was a major player for him? If it's down to ole miss and michigan -- well -- he only need look at the rankings.

This is identical to 'Harbaugh to Oakland' and all the interwebs NFL 'insiders' pulling shit out their arses to get clicks and controversy during the final days. Some 'guy' could start a 'Is Gary a silent already?' storyline and people would freak out over it Kid seemed calm and cool to me during the UA broadcast and deferred to his Mom on every question. I doubt she's decided he's going to Ole Miss.

I'm not sure if anyone listens to 105.1 in Detroit during the evenings, but Ian Rapoport is one of the NFL Insiders they have on with Dery and Drew Sharp.  Can't believe this guy has any credibility in these parts after last year.  He sounds bad, even when he shares the airwaves with Drew Sharp.

All I can think of with him is "Harbaugh to Oakland" and his face likes to eat footballs.

David Johnson probably "dropped the ball" on this, but if he is right then what? This class is solid and has plenty of talent for Harbaugh and co. to work with. With or without Gary. I hate to be a cup half empty kind of guy here but we have seen these five star "locks" over and over choose elsewhere late in the process. The program is larger than any individual recruit, including Gary. But if I were to guess this is simply click-bait.

Would even consider a low class school like that, even if you think there is a remote possiblity of money as being in the equation, why would he need to consider such a thing with his intelligence and bright future as a top NFL prospect. Makes no sense.

This does not surprise me. I thought even before this one ballz flip that the race for Gary was closer than people thought. Just watch his interview at the UA game. As soon as he talks about ole miss he immediately smiles and you can tell he is recalling something in his head about a good memory he has there. It's almost like he went out and partied with some hookers or something (see Louisville). I just got a really weird feeling watching that interview that he likes ole miss the best.

One of the most crooked schools in college football has its eyes on Gary.

I was worried the moment I saw he was visiting that cesspool of corruption.

That makes me supremely confident that he'll be at Michigan this fall. Everything he and his mother have said in regards to their criteria for picking a school favors Michigan. Ole Miss is not in our league in any way. On the field and in the classroom, Michigan is the better school by far. I'd be a helluva lot more nervous if he was deciding between us and ND or Stanford.

If academics are one of the things Gary and his mom are looking at them I am pretty sure Michigan is in good shape there.

Like others said as well. There has been a lot of Michigan and national people saying Gary to Michigan. Guy is just looking for clicks.

Is this really going to be the next month of recruiting around here. The crystal ball stuff is dumb. It's guys taking guesses half the time, and if he's wrong who will remember.

but then again everyone else in the world says Michigan so I'm gonna assume the Ole Miss guys are just taking a shot.

On a similar note, when is the NCAA going to give Ole Miss the banhammer? Isn't a school with no history and no success a bit f*cking suspicious when they start recruiting nationally and pulling in top 5 classes? It's the worst kept secret in college sports

Not even a little bit. There's still time to go and his mind isn't completely made up yet so it's a risk, but I don't think there's a worry in this case especially a writer for a school specific site doing something to keep his fan base calm.

If academics is really important .....M degree >>>>>Ole Miss degree.

Harbaugh >>>>>Freeze

Not many misses on these very top guys, he will play quickly and get to the NFL no matter where he goes.

Let's hope our food court blows Ole Miss food away.

Give him his own chef!

This does not have to do with Gary. However any African American that goes to Ole Miss is a straight up Uncle Tom.

"Welp" maybe if u actually looked at who was putting in the CB's u would realize that the second guy is also a writer for Rebels247. Obviously if one of their guys puts one in then the other writers for their site will also. If a national writer or the Michigan writers start to change then that's a different story.

The point is, causing massive freakouts like this is stupid and unnecessary. Atleast put some context on your thread like "the ole miss writers put in a CB"

If Gary goes to Ole Miss I will never ever trust another player or mom who talks about academics. In fact if they do talk about academics I will then know they are not coming.
