I'm taking the time to log in and comment about how much I don't care about this response. So here goes: who cares about the stupid response. Boring.

He's not Greg Schiano. He's Jabrill Peppers. He admitted it a couple threads ago.

I'd argue the NBA isn't as high level as it could be. College is more interesting to watch. NBA looks like high level pick up ball half the time

You'd argue and you'd be wrong. Besides the Warriors, a lot of teams (like the Spurs, last years Hawks) are playing some of the most efficient and fun to watch basketball in a long time.
I love watching college ball too. But I also love players who can really shoot and dont struggle to do anything against pressure defense and athleticism.
Not all of the NBA is great, this is true. There are bad teams and bad players. But it's a much better product than it has been in a long time.
I know its fun for everyone to hate on the NBA, but it could be even more fun for people to enjoy the enormous amount of talent and good ball being played right now.

They're tired after the Celtics game. I think they bounce back.
December 12th, 2015 at 11:48 PM ^
2nd night of a back-to-back following a double OT win last night. Not hard to see this coming. Plus, Klay missed the Celts game. Don't know if he missed this one as well.
Going 72-10 or better is going to depend on their health and how many of these back-to-back road games they have.

Maybe you should go help find them. But not until you first check to see if your refrigerator is running.

They went to OT with the Celtics and had to play this one less than 24 hours later without Klay Thompson. These back-to-backs and 3 games in 4 nights take a toll. 72-10 is crazy but if they remain healthy the Warrirors could legitimately challenge for it.

It's crazy they've been unbeatable for months now, but it makes sense that a day after a 2OT game they'd struggle.
I don't think they'll break the Bulls record because the NBA is better now than it was when the Bulls did it (expansion had really diluted the overall play), but they'll win 66+ games and be the odds-on favorite for the title.

Did the Warriors even play the Spurs yet?
I think one of those games will be another L.

to find that the Spurs are 20-5 right now and even the NBA has barely noticed. I myself wasn't aware of how good a season they're having until a day or 2 ago, when I saw their record was 19-5.

You guys see that the Bucks fans were all wearing 24-1 shirts. I'm not going to call it prophetic, since there was no gas left in the GSW tank, but still pretty funny.

to proclaiming that you're a racist asshole? I mean, I totally get preferring college hoops, or preferring college sports in general--I am a little bit that way myself. I only check in every now and then on pro sports, period. But when you look in on any pro sport, it seems to me, you're pretty much bound to acknowledge the degree of skill and accomplishment they're played with, no? I mean, just popping a 9 1/2 inch ball into a rim that's just a little bigger from 25-30 feet with any consistency is amazing enough, when you think about it.
Not just trying to make a blanket condemnation of such people if it's not warranted, but I am curious what the hell else could motivate it, particularly in regard to the Warriors, who are accomplishing something awesome right now, and totally in the team-oriented way that people who dislike dunkfests or whatever should appreciate (right?) Maybe it's just sort of knee-jerk, not really well thought out. . .

The NFL is like 70% black too and I don't see anyone getting accused of racism if they don't like the NFL.
December 12th, 2015 at 11:27 PM ^
The NFL still have a very large number of white star players (i.e the majority of the quarterbacks). The NBA stars are 95%-99% black except for kevin love.

I mean yeah I get that the majority of the star players are black but there's always been white NBA stars. When I was younger John Stockton was probably the best point guard in the league and Ricky Rubio currently looks promising. The Porzingis guy for the Knicks looks like he will be pretty good too,

Race has always been an issue for the NBA for its entirety. That is defintely a facto in the vitriol the NBA generates.
December 12th, 2015 at 11:41 PM ^
From the way Stern came down on players for dressing to the way the players essentially trolled him with outlandish formal wear. There's always been a subtle struggle.
