Mendenhall Giving Props

Said that Michigan "is by far the best team we've played." Gut feeling tells me we will be ranked 23rd in the AP poll after this weekend. Any other guesses?

Being highly ranked but not going to the play off still matters. Being highly ranked gets you to a better and more visible bowl where more recruits will be exposed to your team and you will have a quality matchup that will allow for more prestige if you win.

Of course the playoff is the most important thing, but rankings matter 5-25 also.

because we shouldn't have won the Utah game.  We were not very good at that time.  We're a better team now, getting more reps, but the M team that was out there at that time was not very good (or at least, not better than Utah).

But I agree with everyone else, Utah is middling at best, guessing will hang within two scores of Oregon for most of the game but never seriously threaten them.

It was our first game .... on the road..... and we might have pulled it out if we don't have the pick six or actually connected on one of the long bombs that Rudock overthrew.

We were closer to pulling that one out than it looked.

It's amazing to see such massive improvement over the course of this very young season.

I have to admit, I am feeling all sorts of emotions right now, from being incredulous to grateful that Harbaugh actually landed here. There was no better fit for this spot at this point in time, in these exact circumstances. That kind of thing doesn't happen very often in life.

UM Fan from Sydney

My parents were born in the USA, but moved to Australia when they were young. I was born in Australia, but live in the states right now. I lived in Sydney for about twenty-five years. My dad is a huge UM fan and he (thankfully) introduced me to the lovely sport of college football. I'm not really into soccer and rugby, to be honest. I love American football more than any sport.
