Is anyone else having trouble getting this to play?

No, I'm on my new-ish Mac desktop using Safari.

I copied the link and opened it in another window and that worked fine.

Have you updated Adobe?
August 29th, 2015 at 1:19 PM ^
No idea. At some point, I have. The video works when I open a new tab, but for some reason not the embedded version. Is adobe not just for pdfs anymore? Sorry, not exactly a computer scientist over here.

My Mac won't play embedded Hudl links. Once you go to the actual Hudl page it works fine.
August 29th, 2015 at 1:56 PM ^
I tried in Safari and Chrome. The embed won't work in Safari, but it's fine in Chrome.

bringing in (like Gentry and Peters), I just can't see VV staying at QB when he gets here. LB makes a lot of sense with him with his toughness and athletic ability. If he does make that switch, it might be the first QB to LB switch I've ever seen at Michigan.
August 29th, 2015 at 1:59 PM ^
I agree...but I do believe he will have a role, albeit small, on offense...whether it is short yardage, fullback, or even tight end. I like him best a LB, but the way he runs reminds me of Tebow. He is significantly smaller, but definitely faster than TT. Won't comment on a throwing comparison.

H-back is my thought, I think he fit's perfectly there. Or even fullback.
August 29th, 2015 at 5:08 PM ^
from the early 90s. He left early after going in the MLB draft.
August 29th, 2015 at 5:44 PM ^
and I do believe he should be on offense somewhere, I think he will contribute mightily as the scout team QB when we face dual threat guys that week.
I really like this kids athleticism!

Still hilarious

He's aleady 220 as a HS QB.
August 29th, 2015 at 1:02 PM ^
Yah - he's not a QB outside of maybe situationally, but damn he'll be a good football player anywhere else they want to put him. I like him on offense because I think he'll be dangerous with the ball in his hands some way.
August 29th, 2015 at 1:06 PM ^
he could be a good TE. He appears to have the athleticism and size of a TE.
August 29th, 2015 at 1:11 PM ^
Agreed, just depends on if he can catch. I like him in the H-back type Aaron Shea role. Kinda like how (and I hate using this comparison now, but football-wise it works) Aaron Hernandez was used in college. He was a shorter, faster TE who wasn't a big time blocker but Meyer got the ball in his hands in different ways, sometimes with a little shovel pass.

Victor Viramontes will be presenting Coach Harbaugh a problem most coaches love to have, where to play the lad that will best help the team.

I could definitely see harbaugh using him at a RB position like a toby gerhart type. He's huge and while he may not be the fastest player, he's quick enough to be an effective bruising back.
August 29th, 2015 at 1:13 PM ^
You could, but only situationally as well. You hope we'll have guys on the team who are a lot quicker than him as our every down backs, but I wouldn't have a problem playing him in short yardage situations, almost as a fullback, but not permanently.

He McGuffie'd a guy at the 2:00 min mark. I'd actually start him out at QB and THEN move him if he fails there to TE/HB.
Putting him in Kaepernick/Tebow style offense would be awesome. Too explosive to put at TE first,
August 29th, 2015 at 2:18 PM ^
why show every play, even overthrows, from both angles? Almost as bad as doing UFRs for every basketball game.

This guy needs to play QB. Not TE. Not H-back. Q fricken B.
Give him a redshirt year and then unleash him.
Please, for all that is holy, keep this recruit healthy and happy to stay committed to Michigan.
August 29th, 2015 at 3:31 PM ^
this man will dominate elsewhere. Make no mistake about Gentry. Funny thing is either one could play either position. Harbaugh...an Army of Tight Ends.
Mismatches of size and power punctuated w/athletism against urban's mismatches of athleticsm in the open field w/burst of power. I like the ball control Harbaugh method.

I don't see in the video the arm strength, decisionmaking, or accuracy needed to be a QB in a west coast/pro style offense. Maybe he shows it in other videos, but I don't see it here.
He's obviously a good athlete, but more than athleticism is needed to be a quarterback. The guy is rated as three star for a reason.
August 29th, 2015 at 4:18 PM ^
Doesn't look like a Power5 arm. Small sample size in this particular video, as you point out. So could be wrong, but I've watched some of his other vids and I don't recall his arm jumping out at me. Like his versatility though. Will be fun to watch what position he ends up at. "A football player," as coach Harbaugh would say.
